I wanted to reactivate my account and provided all relevant details. After that it just says pending review without much update. Not a reliable app, deleting from my mobile. Customer service is terrible.

I had recently reopened my Robinhood account to be able to trade crypto only to discover that they have been making moves. I was pulled back because of the bitcoin exposure that I couldn’t get with my Schwab investment accounts and IRAs and found their gold account benefits that seem to be the best in the industry. With a preferred 4.5% APY, now just lowered to 4.25%, a 1% deposit bonus and only $5 a month it only made sense to grow my money with them. Looking deeper into the future of the company and their desktop trading platform coming soon I think that they’re going to draw more users back and maybe rebuild their reputation with other former customers to come back. The next thing that they should bring to market is a way to build your own trading bot which is where I see the future of trading going.
  • Restrictions apply

Restricting the purchase of certain stocks because they think they’re “volatile” tells me they do not believe in a free market. Also grow up and use Fidelity or Vanguard. This app is for 15 year olds with no financial literacy.

  • The ux/ui

The new ui displays are turning me off. Requiring more brain power to just navigate the page compared to how simple things were from 2020-22

Along with being easy to use, the information news and analysis is a valuable resource.
  • One of the worst customer support systems imaginable

If I was tasked with designing the most inefficient customer service system that had the added benefit of increasing customer inconvenience over time, and created more issues than it solved, it would probably look something like Robinhood’s 24/7 customer support system. 24/7 customer support apparently means having your issues being placed in a 24+ hour long queue. When an agent does get too review your case, it will be at a time when you are not available or asleep, and you are only given a small window too actually respond to an agent, who also will not read or ask for the required information too resolve your issue, if you are not actively engaged in the support chat. When you don’t respond to the support agents in-app chat at 4:30AM, your ticket will be kicked back into limbo, so that the +24 hour waiting process can begin again. I imagine that most of a support agents time is spent opening a case, waiting a set amount of time for no response from a sleeping costumer, then kicking that ticket back into an ever expanding queue, then opening up the next ticket…
