  • Great product but the app needs improvements

Overall, I really like my Rachio products, but I find the app lacking. I have one Rachio irrigation controller and seven hose controllers spread across two hubs. In the app, I have to select which controller I want to view before I can see its schedule, and there's no way to see schedules or devices across different hubs. What I really want is a single view where I can schedule all my devices regardless of which hub they're connected to, along with a consolidated list of all my schedules. Navigating the app requires too much back-and-forth clicking, making it easy to overlook issues with a controller or miss a skipped schedule. Overall, it's a great product, but the app could use significant improvement when managing multiple devices.
  • Not so Smart

I set it to water before sunrise. A full schedule is 6 hours, but on a day it needs to water only 1 hour it will still start watering 6 hours before sunrise… in the middle of the night.
  • Can no longer Skip watering for several days in the future starting 2 or more days from now.

I water from our lake and when weed killer is put in the lake if I forget to turn off the sprinklers it will kill my grass. I used to be able to skip watering for several days in advance of today but now it only shows up for tomorrow. There also used to be a way to set a water delay to begin on a specific day, but that is no longer possible. I bought the Rachio 3 so I could schedule my water skips in advance and not worry about forgetting and killing my lawn. Please bring this feature back.
  • Buy the best Rachio

Bought this Rachio sprinkler controller based on the recommendation of the person who clears out my system each Fall. After suffering with two other “smart systems” with half baked Apps this Rachio is exactly what I was looking for and more! The pause for rain actually works. Easy set up, had zone images… just great:
  • Better experience

I’ve had the Rachio for about 2 weeks now and it’s amazing. Before this I had B-hyve and this is worth the extra money by far. It has more smart technology integrated into it and is way more convenient.
  • This thing is great!

I’ve used Rachio for several years now. I’ve never had a single problem with it. I can summon Rachio from the car to water my wife’s flowers while I drive home. It links to my backyard weather station to adjust for rainfall and the app is very intuitive. It really is a game changing convenience. We use less water and get better results. There’s no comparison to the old controller. If you’re still using one, I suggest giving Rachio a try.
  • A Necessary Tool

Once you begin using Rachio, you’ll wonder why you didn’t get it sooner. It makes seasonal startups and blowouts much easier, lets you control watering via schedules or manually and gives you control from anywhere you have Internet. And, of course, your lawn and water bill benefits. Great product!
  • Broken?

Apparently after the latest update, the app just freezes. In other words, you see the startup screen and that is it. Next time, you release an update, please verify it first?

I like the sprinkler control from my phone. I like the varying the run times as the season changes. I like them offering a link to the weather station to not water when the ground is wet. I like that they offer additional products compatible with the unit. I don’t like that they want $10 extra to tell me one of my valves is failing. I don’t like that they want $30 to increase the watering during heat waves. I don’t like them asking for more money after the sale for software upgrades that should already be there. I will buy more products when I get something for it.
  • Good product, decent app, bad support

I feel like Rachio is a subsidiary of a video game company the way they dropping dlc. Don’t get me wrong the app is decent but buying a smart controller $200 and then dropping dlc bundles for $30 a pop to get features like heat wave (which is a weather adjust feature) which I feel like should be included in software as an update not a bundle that needs to be added on. Everywhere you turn every digital company is nickel and dimming you, what next are they going to turn their app into a subscription service😕
