Description

MyRetina – The app to monitor your vision from home between your ophtalmology appointments. MyRetina is an application designed by an senior ophthalmologist to help you track changes in your vision at home, particularly in cases of macular retinal diseases (Age-related Macular Degeneration or AMD, diabetic macular edema, high myopia, epiretinal membrane, Central Serous Chorioretinopathy or CSCR...). The app does not replace a medical eye examination but can help you more easily spot changes in your vision between medical appointments. Key Features • Visual acuity test, eye by eye, using a tumbling "E" chart oriented in different directions. • Interactive Amsler grid : mark distorted areas or dark spots directly with your fingertip. • Progress tracking : your results are saved and displayed as a visual acuity chart for each eye. • Monitoring of Amsler grid anomalies over time, with an overlay of previous exams to visualize the evolution of distortions. • Full history of your tests, detailed by date and by eye. • Clear interface, designed for patients with low vision (readable text, high contrast). Step-by-Step Guided Tests Before each test, MyRetina reminds you of the proper conditions for accuracy: • Wear your reading glasses if you use them. • Cover one eye with your hand. • Hold the phone at the correct distance (about 30 cm / 12 inches). Thanks to the front camera (ARKit), the app helps you maintain the correct distance between your face and the screen to improve test reliability. Privacy Protection • Camera images are neither recorded nor sent to any server : distance measurement is processed locally on your iPhone. • Your results are stored solely on your device. Who is it for ? MyRetina can be useful for : • Patients being treated for AMD and other central retinal (macular) diseases. • Anyone at risk of macular disease who has been recommended regular Amsler grid checks. • Patients wishing to monitor their vision between two ophthalmologist appointments. Important – Medical Disclaimer • MyRetina can in no way replace an ophthalmology consultation or specialized medical advice. • The app does not provide a diagnosis and is not a regulated medical device. • Results may be approximate and depend on distance, lighting, screen size and quality, as well as your level of fatigue. In case of sudden vision loss, eye pain, recent appearance or worsening of a dark spot or line distortion, contact your ophthalmologist or an eye emergency department immediately. MyRetina is a self-monitoring and educational tool, intended to help you better understand your vision and react faster in case of changes.
