  • Best Budgeting App I’ve Used

I struggle a lot with budgeting with categories that I need to manually track, often leading to me over spending. Milo is a great buddy that helps me keep on top of my budgeting, and the fact that I can see how much I’m able to spend each week is incredibly helpful. I just wish there was the ability to have multiple “This bill says” options when setting up recurring bills, and the ability to set “This bill says” to empty, as I have new bills that I know are coming up, but have not had a transaction yet. Otherwise, amazing app and I’m so glad I’ve started using it!

This seems like a very new app. It does not support the Apple Card yet, which MANY iPhone users use as their primary card for daily cash back , myself included. Some competitors that use Plaid are able to support it by uploading your monthly statement at the end of the month, but Milo does not seem to have ANY support on the Apple Card yet.

Great app! Really love the visuals! I have some suggestions! I would prefer if you could customize the monthly breakdown categories, I name stuff differently or might have more granular categories so that would make it feel a lot more realistic for me. I also would like if the “change budget” feature actually let you put in the exact amount you want including cents too so for instance if my budget was “955.50”, I’d like to be able to type that in there rather than only doing $25 increments, cause people’s budgets can look differently. Also from a security standpoint, I think it would be good if you’re able to do Apple face/ Touch ID/ passcode etc some kind of security access setup when opening the app or if left open for an extended period of time, you know usual security checks that a “money” app should have would be good. I also think it would be good to be able to add a budget to those different customized categories, that way it can be viewed from an expected vs actual POV. I always like to know what my budget is for each category and see how bad or good I did in staying within my budget LOL. Finally! Sorry if this is a lot lol, really like the app and see its potential so I’m just sharing my thoughts from a user perspective, I’d love if instead of showing the actual amount left as a widget (I know this is LOVED, and I’m not saying to remove it completely, just thinking from a security perspective, like someone glancing at my phone and seeing how much I have left to spend ehhhh idk about that) maybe doing like a green-red bar so green being below a certain percentage of your budget, yellow/ orange being mid range, and red being above 75% of your budget or something adjacent right just to give an idea of where your budget is currently without revealing the actual cost out in the open. That way if I look at the app and see ohh I’m in the orange, it intrigues me to open it up and actually see what’s left lol, that way I can still maintain some level of privacy Okay, I’m done LOL. Great job guys! If for any reason it would be difficult or maybe not possible to implement any of the recommendations I’d love to understand why! Just curious and would like to understand your reasoning. x

I’ve always been in search of an app that would allow me to connect not only my bank, but also my credit cards!! Super happy to have found one and can’t wait for the features to expand. Question though: for the “safe to spend” feature, is that number based on the income coming in? Like I wish I could explicitly set “hey, this is my job’s deposit” so that I know this number is accurate. Also, an FAQ section would be helpful!
  • Buggy and didn't connect

I tried like 5 or 6 times to connect my information or even just manually add information and it never saved. I paid $5 for it to not do anything. I really wanted this to work out so i'm disappointed.
  • Won’t link my bank

I’ve tried 6 times to link my bank, can’t even get started using the app because it won’t let me past this first step it says is required. Maybe it’s just my phone but still seems like it should be easier to do.
