  • Misrepresentation and Fake “Savings”

I downloaded CruiseSlash after seeing ads promising unbelievable cruise deals with 90%+ off retail prices, turning “$3,400 cruises” into “$249 steals.” At first glance, it looks incredible. The app shows bold slashed prices, eye-catching discounts, and banners like “Save 93%.” But after actually checking the cruises, the truth is disappointing and misleading. Fake “Original Prices” - CruiseSlash inflates the “original” cruise cost to create the illusion of a massive discount. For example, a 3-day Bahamas cruise on the Norwegian Getaway is shown in the app as $3,432, slashed down to $249. That sounds like a miracle – until you go directly to the actual cruise line (NCL). On their website, the exact same sailing is listed at $249, the standard promotional rate. No one is paying $3,432 for a 3-day Bahamas trip. The app fabricates a ridiculous “original price” just to claim a fake 93% savings. It gets worse. Sometimes MORE expensive than the vendor, the ‘Pride of America’ (Hawaii inter-island) cruise is shown in the app as a huge discount: “$14,236 marked down to $1,286.” Except on NCL’s own site, the same cruise sells for $1,043. In other words, CruiseSlash is more expensive while still advertising a “91% off” miracle. Cruise lines constantly run promotions, and the prices shown in the app are exactly what’s already available directly through the cruise line or other reputable travel sites. There is no secret deal here, no hidden savings, and no exclusive access. It’s all smoke and mirrors. The app is built around a bait-and-switch concept: inflate a fake “original” price, slash it with big fonts, and advertise outrageous percentages off. It’s predatory marketing that targets people who don’t know better. The screenshots even brag about “saving $3,000+” when in reality, you’re paying the same thing you would anywhere else – or sometimes more. I downloaded this thinking I had found a genuine discount platform, and I was hoping to support a new app as there were hardly any reviews. Instead, I found myself double-checking everything on the vendor’s website, only to realize CruiseSlash offers nothing unique. Worse, it damages trust because it’s actively misrepresenting prices. CruiseSlash doesn’t save you money. It doesn’t offer real discounts. It just pretends to by showing fake inflated “original prices.” If you’re serious about booking a cruise, skip this app entirely and go straight to the cruise line or a trusted travel site. At best, this app is misleading. At worst, it borders on scam tactics. Misrepresentation and fake “savings.” Do not recommend.

“Not sure try for free” button brings up Apple Pay and tries to make me pay for subscription anyways, no way around it so can’t even use the app 👍

This app does not work. I’m trying to click to cancel subscription. It would not let me do anything.
