Concept: The app is AUv3 MIDI effect and works as “Legato” effect for MIDI instruments using pitchBend. System Requirements: 1. AUv3 host 2. 3rd-party MIDI instrument that has a functionality of pitchBend. Usage: One important calibration 1. Adjust oVerlegato’s pitchBend range to the same value as the one of destination instrument, otherwise it becomes microtonal. There are two buttons & two sliders. 1. “Legato”: it becomes legato mode only while pushing the button. 2. “Channel”: determines MIDI output channel. 3. “pitchBend range”: oVerlegato’s internal pitchBend range (from 12 to 48).” 4. “Panic!”: sends all noteOff message. When notes are accidentally stacked, push this button while pushing any key of keyboard. The rule of playing legato It needs to sustain the first initial note while pushing “Legato”button until the legato sequence ends. Scheme: oVerlegato (MIDI out) -> 3rd-party instrument
