Welcome to Liberty Church Of God In Christ mobile app! In April 1956, Pastor, Elder J.H. Flippin Sr. along with his wife the late Mother Miriam B. Flippin founded Liberty Church of God in Christ in Milwaukee, WI. The name Liberty was given to Pastor Flippin in a prayer meeting while on his knees. His desire for the church was that the people would always feel free to worship God in spirit and in truth. After establishing Liberty Church of God in Christ, the late Elder E. Blakely pastor of Mount Zion Church of God in Christ extended his hand in friendship and fellowship, and Pastor Flippin held services in Mount Zion beginning at 2pm Sunday afternoons.
