COUNTDOWN IN A CHARMING CHRISTMAS VILLAGE This December we’re building a quaint Christmas village, piece by piece, every day of Advent! Model Christmas villages have been a festive tradition for centuries and this year we’re bringing them to life with daily stories, games and activities! WHAT’S IN THE 2025 VILLAGE ADVENT CALENDAR - Advent Calendar countdown: keep track of the festive season with numbered ornaments which reveal a daily surprise. - Festive fun: enjoy a new animated story, activity or game each day - Scavenger Hunt: there’s a cheeky elf hidden somewhere in the village every day, can you find them all?! - A cosy cottage: decorate your own Christmas cottage to your taste! - Festive pastimes: inside your cottage you’ll find books, jigsaw puzzles and even more games! START YOUR CHRISTMAS VILLAGE COUNTDOWN NOW We’ve released a new digital Advent Calendar every December for 15 years now, and over those years they’ve become staple Christmas traditions for families all over the world. Our Christmas Village Advent Calendar encompasses that quintessential cosy Christmas feeling while boasting all the usual Jacquie Lawson festive fun. So why not treat yourself this year and download your Advent Calendar app for your iPhone or iPad and enjoy the magic of Christmas in a quaint model village? ABOUT THE JACQUIE LAWSON ADVENT CALENDAR APP The traditional Advent Calendar is printed on cardboard with little paper windows – one for each day of Advent – which open to reveal further Christmas scenes, so you can count the days to Christmas. Our digital Advent Calendar is much more exciting, of course, because the main scene and the daily surprises all come alive with music and animation! Strictly, Advent starts on the fourth Sunday before Christmas and ends on Christmas Eve, but most modern Advent Calendars – ours included – start the Christmas countdown on 1st December. We also depart from tradition by including Christmas Day itself and allowing you to interact with the Advent Calendar prior to the start of December! https://www.jacquielawson.com/terms-of-use https://www.jacquielawson.com/privacy-policy

I'm sad to say I'm a little disappointed in this year's calendar. I've been getting these calendars for a very long time and although there are some really nice things in it, I think the thing I'm most disappointed in is the cottage. I can't tell what's new each day like I could with the Paris apartment from last year. There just isn't much to do in this other than the games. And I much preferred the music from last year's calendar. The Paris one. That music was lovely!

I have loved these calendars for years, not this year. The village is charming and the animation is delightful. BUT inside the main cottage, there are no new presents to open, nothing changes inside. It takes me about a minute to interact with the cal each morning and then I've done it all. Also to access games that have come up thru the cal, you have to remember what day it came up and get in thru that bauble inside of having a link to the game in the cottage. For example, I have to remember the Santa Drop game came up on day 6, and get in thru that days bauble. I hope next year they do a better job inside the cottage, it used to be such fun.
  • 2025 Calendar is artistically beautiful, most boring

A major disappointment. Art is beautiful, derivative. No boxes to open in the very boring room. Elves “hidden” in plain sight. Developers must have been busy with the new Peanuts calendar which is a straight copy of JL—both are American Greetings. The Peanuts calendar has many of the same exact games, trivia, decorating, and setup (daily ornaments, room)—plus some. Last year’s JL was great—maybe the best yet. This year’s might be ok for those who have not experienced the “real” JL calendars. If you are missing the joy and surprises this year and don’t mind Peanuts, that looks like where they put their energy (best developers) this year. The room has plenty of activities and daily trivia. Let’s hope the JL advent calendar gets better attention next year. I’ve bought them from the start and may not buy anymore after this year—it’s just not worth it any more.

It’s beautiful. The music is perfect (although, sorry, the Scandinavian song sounds more like a dirge). I’m so happy you brought back the ugly sweater activity! And the wreath and flower arranging. It’s terrific. Still, I miss having the activities show up as toys or games in the home base. It was a really nice touch in prior calendars. And I do miss the place-centered calendars. It was so fun to learn about other Christmas traditions and other areas. The sketchbooks also were great fun and I miss them. Have you thought of recreating your older calendars in this new app technology? Your seaside calendar was and probably always will be my favorite and I visited it for years until the link stopped working. Without it, I don’t know that I’d have ever discovered the Newlin School (the Abbey Slip is one of my favorite paintings of all time and the Rain it Raineth every day was marvelous) or learned so much about Archangelo Corelli. You all do a wonderful job making a bit of magic with these charming calendars and I’m grateful.
