Paid for 1 year of app to control lights in preparation of installation 12 hours ago. Lights are defective and there is no way to contact the company to cancel and get a refund of the annual payment.
  • Confirmed scam per ChatGPT

I was surprised to find that after buying an electric stove I had to also pay a monthly subscription to the app that runs it and then after I did that, I couldn’t add my wife on on her iPhone. I went to ChatGPT who researched this and told me I was the victim of a scam instead of SmartLife smart home app the title of this app. The real app is called Smart home and there’s also a Tuya app they are both free. They are the ones we’re supposed to be using but is this scam one that comes up first on the search? I would love for the people to visit me at my home in Texas so I could give them a special present please don’t spend any money on them and if you have any doubt check with ChatGPT. Why does Apple do it and allow this to happen? It’s because they get a percentage of the subscription fee that we pay. Real nice.

My lights stopped working and there doesn’t seem to be any good instructions on resetting the device. The app just keeps looping me into a monthly or yearly subscription when I try to add a devise which I certainly didn’t have to do with the initial purchase and don’t which to do now either

It’s not advisable to compel individuals to purchase an app that they’re uncertain about its potential value or usefulness.

Most devices you buy don’t charge you to use their app. This one does. Lame! I bought your stuff. Let me control the device from my phone as described (without paying $60 a year)

This app does not work for all Honeywell devices and doesn’t list which ones it does. They do not respond to requests for refunds either.

Bought their plug, don’t even get to try it to see If it works without having to pay a subscription for it. Absolutely predatory. What a disgusting business practice.
