    i have been crying till i get a headache when i open the app this evening to find i now have to pay! do you know how cruel it felt? i have adhd and app helped me a lot and now i can’t pay since i live in north africa and i have no money

  • Overpriced and not free

    They just rolled out a credit system like most AI voice apps and this time around it’s pretty bad. I listen to long form web novels while i’m at work on here, for me to finish a single book it’d be around $500 worth of credits. Just 3 days of listening would cost me around $10. I don’t care about the download or the offline features, i don’t care about the GenFM or the 4000 voices. I just want to stream my books without having to overpay. I would gladly pay $15 a month (same price as netflix) to be able to only stream as much as i want without all of the other worthless features. I don’t want to have to worry about paying another $20-$30 for credits every few days. Im going to look for an alternative cheaper app or just wait for a more cheaper alternative comes around. I hope this app finds a better solution

    I loved it and I’ve been using it for months … until recently I started making me pay to be able to read my books if I wanted to pay I would download kindle but I didn’t very disappointed

  • Fun while it lasted

    Oh, of course. The common tech bro encrapification strategy is to offer a good services for extremely cheap and then jack up the prices after having a solid user base. I’d understand if these prices were reasonable, but NOBODY is paying for these. I listen to books that average about 20 hours a pop with no real audiobook alternative. I’d have to spend $70-100 a month to continue using the app as I did before, back when it was free. Expect the star rating on this to plummet after this recent change.

    Hello there!! I have been using this app for a while now, and it’s been wonderful!! I enjoyed using it a lot and it’s been great. That is until I got a notification I ran out of credits. This credit system that’s been implemented is disappointing and considering I use this app as an accessibility aid, it is disheartening to see such a wonderful app put behind a paywall.

    This was a free app. The new update changed it. Additionally, it ALWAYS forces you to update, and REFUSES to let you use the App until you do. F that.Not using it anymore.

  • Sudden changes.

    This app was phenomenal after months of using until I was hit with “buying credits” the prices are not only outrageous but it’s stingy if you look at what’s being given for those insane prices. On to the next app. 🤷🏻‍♀️

  • Disappointing Changes

    Up until yesterday we could upload our books and listen for free. I was using it to edit my chapters as I write and I loved it. Today, after five minutes of reading it tells us to purchase credits. SMH … I thought it was too good to be true… and it was You shouldn’t offer something for free and change it without telling the people already using the service.
