I paid to try it, but it doesn’t actually delete cookies. I’ve tried the deletion on sleep, quit safari, etc. but when I check cookies in the Settings … -> Privacy -> Manage Website Data dialog, all the cookies are still there. Hundreds.

This version works slow and. takes a very long time to load. Little spinning disk is still spinning after 20 minutes.
  • the most important app on your machine?

You are being monetized; your information is being sold to whomever wants it to use against you. And it WILL be used against you. Resistance is futile, but this app makes that much harder for the Dark Side. You can be in full granular control, or just let it run automatically. Get this app, but also contact your Congressional representatives and tell them we need privacy laws like those in the EU (GDPR). We should own our own personal data, and others should have to pay us to use them.
  • latest rollout has been a disaster

Cookie user here forever. Sad to report that the latest update has made the product unsuable for Safari. The developer suggestions for fixing the very serious bugs haven't helped and he seems, well, disengaged. Do not recommend.
  • Useless

I thought this app was brilliant until I looked into Safari settings and found it didn't remove any coockies. All the permissions are set properly and my email for their help ignored. Really wasted my time on this one.

I've been using Cookie since at least 2014, when I have some email correspondence with SweetP support, and it's great. Does exactly what it's supposed to do, and makes it easy. I got a new computer recently and wanted to do a clean install to get rid of some twenty years of cruft. I went to App Store and installed it, but it only gave me the option of a subscrition type payment. I thought that was the end, since I won't do endless subscription payments. A couple weeks later, it occurred to me to go to their web page to see if I could recover my last license, but noticed you could still buy the app from there. Yay! Now I'm back in business.

I've been a Cookie user since v1. Recently I've been trying to switch to Orion browser (made by the Kagi search team), which has zero telemetry. Thanks for making Cookie and please consider supporting Orion browser!

  • Doesn't work with Safari using Sonoma - PENDING further review

Update: 4/11/24 Developer says it does work so disregard this review pending further investigation. 4/3/24 I'm using version 7.2.7 of Cookie and Safari 17.4.1. Cookie does not function to remove history or anything else that I can identify. Maybe it works with other browser but if you use Safari it is a waste of your money.
  • Went the way of subscriptions

Will not be using this anymore without a one-time purchase option, people are drowning in subscriptions and the last thing we want is another one. Was good while it lasted, I'll go back to Cookie AutoDelete which is free and does the job
