  • Honestly a great app

It’s a great app and has helped me learn a lot!!! It’s like having a literal nutritionist or doctor with you as you make food choices!!! I also like that the founder, who is an MD, is personally involved. It feels personal. That’s how I would describe it - it’s not just another lifeless AI app made to make money. I would continue using except for the price. That’s the only drawback. Otherwise, great job Hava and don’t listen to the unsubstantiated negative reviews! You don’t have to please everyone.

I do like the app it is extremely helpful however I make my own food and I would like to be able to add my recipe to my foods instead of adding individual items in my meal log. Asked Ava to help after image taken was way off and we both ended at this option which is time consuming and frustrating. Ok that’s my only dislike

Cannot easily enter food. The camera scanned my 30 calories bun as a whole hamburger. I could not scan bar code and get accurate information.
  • Not very accurate not Easy to understand!

I am very frustrated with this app. I don’t understand what K calories are. When I take a photo of my food, the information is totally wrong. I do not recommend recommending buying this app.

As a user of Lose It for over 15 years now, I never thought there was a better food & diet app than that, until I came across Hava. I love dieting based on numbers and calorie counting has worked wonders for me. But Lose It hasn’t been that great in terms of teaching me the best type of foods, at least in terms of being built into the numbers I enter every day. This is something that Hava does extremely well and the satiety score is an excellent method to eat better and lower the calories. It’s a game changer. BUT… what is keeping me away from Hava for the time being is its database of foods. It’s not very thorough. I would say at least 50% of the time I scan a barcode, it comes up with nothing, whereas Lose It almost always has results based on a scan. Perhaps I’m anal, but I want as accurate of calorie numbers based on the foods I enter. I prefer not to enter approximate numbers. The UX is also a bit quirky in terms of entering food items. Things like saving individual foods as favorites is confusing, whereas it seems to prefer me entering meals as favorites instead. There are too many steps involved in entering a food item. But as I’ve already mentioned, the satiety score is a game changer, but until the database results improve, I remain with Lose It.
  • Not worth the cost

You can’t save recipes to get accurate scores of the actual food your eating. Not much functionality and limited food list. Would like a refund.
  • Great food journaling app

So far, I have been very pleased with this app. It’s super easy to use and the AI technology is incredible. Even the photo scanning picks up ingredients that I would not expect it to pick up. Although I still rely on barcode scans, I think the AI is very good and will only get better in my opinion. Kudos to Hava!
  • Scam

It’s just a seven day free trial then $99 a month. Don’t waste your time. And they take a long time having you go through their long initiation before they tell you that. So not only is it a scam but these people are not honest.
