    Very rarely is there a tool that makes your day easier makes you more productive and more effective and takes some of the stress off of your day-to-day activities. Having a dedicated recorder, tied into artificial intelligence and summaries has been a godsend.

    The audio quality is much worse than simply speaking into the microphone on my iPhone. So far, the transcription seem to be OK. Transcription can take several minutes, which is a long time when you consider that the voice notes app on your phone can do the transcription instantly. Half of the summaries are just stupid. I will continue to use it and try to make the best of it, but it is not as advertised. This is not a life-changing productivity engine.

    If any of the product contents arrive damaged, don’t expect the company to back the product. They will hide behind the shield of the retailer who sold you the product. They would rather you fight with them than to send you a replacement component. Don’t waste your money on their premium service. Just export to a memo in Apple instead. Avoid this company and its products. There are better options. They are on borrowed time.

  • Paid subscription does not work

    I paid $240 for the yearly unlimited a month ago and the app still has me at the starter plan. Apple and PLAUD developers have not been able to resolve the issue and have denied the refund. Be careful if you subscribe because the subscription (AI subscriptions in Apple Store) is being treated as buying a movie from Apple Store, once sold no refund will be provided, even though the services have not been rendered.

    Bought the device for my patrol vest since my bodycam and dashcam doesn’t always record / pick up voice. Then I find out it’s $200+/year ON TOP of buying the device to have transcripts Tried a free trial (thanks I guess) and recorded a whole shift. Even with good prompt engineering, it doesn’t do a good job with the transcripts. Not worth it, at all. Decided to unsubscribe. — update Didn’t keep the AI, but didn’t return the device. It actually has become an integral part of my uniform, I frequently reference my recordings whenever an incident occurs, and am now able to provide precise details to accompany my bodycam footage (which isn’t always recording, but this device is)

    This tool has changed everything for me. As a leader I need to cascade info downstream across my teams. Being able to record and accurately summarize information into multiple formats is great. Being able to train my own agents in Plaud to distill recordings in different ways has created immense efficiencies and clarity for me and my teams.

    When I first got PLAUD, I used it sparingly, but I find now I use it more more, which allows me to focus on what’s being said and not worrying about trying to scribble down notes that are legible

    Many times gifts are purchased that are just OK. This is not one of those. This is definitely something that I have used every single day since I received it as a gift. It definitely makes life so much easier when I have multiple meetings. It definitely helps to keep me organized post meetings.
