  • Used to be my favorite app

I used to absolutely love Everland and I would always recommend it. There was no better place to get all the ebooks and audiobooks you would actually want to read. Now they upped their price and I wouldn’t mind at all paying a little more for all those titles BUT now you pay more and you can only unlock one title a month unless you upgrade and now it’s no better than audible. I’m canceling my subscription and I’d much rather get my stuff from Libby and pay the small fees to have other library cards.

I have been using this app for a while now. I loved it. I recommended it to everyone! I have never had issues with it except when trying to clear cache. I had books lined up, that were available, that aren’t anymore. Many of them now say I have to have a credit. Why would you do this to books that are already on a persons list to be read. Also, hate that I can’t finish any book series that I start. Even books that have been out for 10-20 years. They are not new releases… fix it or you have lost another customer.
  • Glitches

App is constantly glitching! If you don’t add a bookmark everytime you have to pause your listening, the app glitches and takes you right back to the beginning of the book. This has been an issue for years! Never seems to be fixed. So frustrating!
  • Doesn’t work offline

App has not worked offline in months. You can download your books but if you try to access them offline app freezes. Very little customer support. They always respond that they are updating app to new version and it will fix issue but it never does. Than they will tell you the next update will…. And than it doesn’t again. They will never offer you anything for the months your paying full price for an app that isn’t working fully.
  • New model ruined this app

The new pricing model ruined Everand. You will not find anything worth reading, if you can find anything at all, in the list of “unlimited” titles that don’t require an unlock. Cancelling my subscription
  • PIECE OF JUNK

Save yourself frustration and disappointment and wasted time and energy by avoiding this app. It is seriously dysfunctional. Be prepared for it to freeze and restart from the beginning causing you to lose your place, the bookmarks don’t work (especially offline) and it will stop working supposedly because “your download has expired” when you just downloaded the book the day before. Audible and Libby are far, far superior products. In comparison, EVERAND IS JUNK!
  • Terrible

This service is absolutely terrible. I subscribed 2 years ago, and it was fine then. I’m getting my Master’s Degree and most of the books I need on here. I was able to use them no problem, but since they have changed their subscription settings I can now only read 3 books a month because every single book I need is “premium”. This is a travesty to book lovers and learners alike. $16 a month for only 3 book? Could you imagine the uproar if Netflix only allowed 3 movies a month? You should be ashamed, Everand.
  • Very scam like

Are there books? Yes, can you listen to them? No, With the $16 membership 90% of the audiobooks are unavailable to you unless you unlock them you only get three unlocks. The standard membership is 1199 and you get all of the books for a certain period of time. I don’t understand how you can get a better value out of the $11 membership rather than the 16 it’s just seems like highway robbery
  • Disappointing changes

For years I have been recommending Everand (scribd) to everyone. It was my favorite app and the only one that offered enough books to keep up with my reading speed. Then it became more expensive, which was fine because I still could listen to as many books as I wanted. Then they introduced the premium titles that you had to unlock. Fine, I could just listen to unknown authors. But now, almost every book is locked and you only get three a month for $17. I’m disappointed that scribd turned into Everand and became just like every other audiobook app out there.
  • Paywall has ruined this otherwise great service

I used to love this app. Had so many books at my disposal, and all for a really good price, all things considered. Unsure when this was implemented, but they started paywalling for newer books sometime in the last year or so. I understood this initially; new books cost more money to acquire, so the reader should have to pay more. Then, I noticed that books in a series I had read that were unlocked were retroactively put behind this “unlocking” format. This was the final straw for me. New books I understand, but it is entirely unfair to lock years-old books behind an extra fee for a service that I ALREADY PAY FOR. Three books a month for that price is ludicrous, and Everand has gotten entirely too money-hungry. I’ve unsubscribed. It isn’t worth the money anymore.
