I have tried several times to fix the issue within the remind app that tells me my messages may not be received I’ve deleted the app several times and redownloaded it. It’s pretty important to be able to reach out to my instructor considering that’s the whole basis of this app

My notes leave no room for please or thank you. Just blunt and rude messages

Remind is great when it is actually used by districts. Far too often teachers and particularly coach are text kids through their personal device’s. This should never happen. To much liability

Something is going on with Remind. My parents are not getting my messages and now it is saying I have to join. What is going on?

I have been using this app ever since my kids elementary school started using it 5 years ago and even though there are several different ways to contact your kids teachers these days I still think that remind is my first go to.

I’ve used Remind for coaching over the last three years. While the length of messages is limited, I liked that all my athletes and parents received text messages- which are received more often than app notices (because the app notices can be limited by a device’s data limits). Unfortunately, Remind has changed its policy on who can send out the nexts- and since I’m only a coach and not a teacher, the district doesn’t give me a school email address- there doesn’t appear to be anyway to validate an address that doesn’t share a school district domain (nor is there an appeal process)- so I’ll likely be switching to a less restrictive app.

I think the scope of this app needs to be reimagined. It seems like the organizations that use it could be better suited using other apps. I don’t understand the nature of the concept but that could be because the concept isn’t meant for social service work.
