Description

In this free video we show you how to fly a Standard Instrument Departure using the Garmin 430/530. In this App, as in all our products, we use HD in-flight video and show you how to conduct approaches in actual, real-life IFR. We don't use any fillers that waste your time, just what you need to do and how to do it. AOPA PILOT magazine called our Apps "solid and reliable" in it's Dec 2011 issue. If you like this free App, check out the full version of the The Garmin GNS430/530W - Setup & Enroute App. It includes the following: - Initial System Checks and RAIM Prediction - Page Set-Up and display configuration - Creating and Editing Flight Plans - RNAV Departure Procedures - Enroute Functions - Emergency Use of the GPS - RNAV Arrival Procedures - Common Errors - A 10 question quiz about the 430/530 To buy the full version visit: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/garmin-gns430-530w-setup-enroute/id454025976?mt=8 Disclaimer: This is a product from Flight Training Apps, Inc. The video has no sound. A bit pointless.

The audio works perfectly. You only need to flip the mute switch on your iPad and make sure the system volume is turned up.

Like the approach version, no audio playback during the video.

This is a good intro to the basic functions of the 530. Video is clear. Explanations are clear and to the point. However, it is more in the line of a podcast rather than an app (no interaction) and it is just not enough to convince me to pay almost $30 for EACH of the two full "apps"
