    I love this app. I’ve significantly reduced selected screen time and am also doing lots of pushups to earn minutes. It works if you want to get better and aren’t a lousy quitter. I’m pleased to share that I called their number and a nice human answered my call. He heard my request to integrate data from other measurables (oura, whoop, etc…). I feel like an hour of Jui Jitsu is worth a few minutes of screen time… He coined the phrase, ‘roll to scroll’… :-)

    I do NOT pay for apps, but this was so worth it. (I also don’t leave reviews) but now I’m Over 70 days in and I went from hours of social media to minutes since day one. I feel like I paid 50 dollars for my life back. I’m more present with my children. I spend quality time with my husband, I am actually learning Spanish like I’ve been saying I’d do for years. I’m reading the Bible daily, like I’ve been saying I’d do for years. As someone with raging ADHD, I found I’m definitely a doom scroller and for me, this was my cure !

    I’m not a social media person. But I still do have apps I turn to mindlessly. ClearSpace really helps break the cycle and recognize that I may be reacting needlessly to “boredom” or a moment of silence. Many people could benefit from making more space and noticing their reactivity! This app was recommended to me by Art of Manliness.

    Other apps are either too restrictive or too athletically pleasing to be useful. This allows me to discipline myself and check my motivations for opening my phone. It has user decided time limits with user decided amount of times you can open the app per day instead of a certain amount of time you have for the app all day. I appreciate the structure of it and it inconveniences me instead of removes access entirely. For me, at the moment this is the best choice for needing my phone and battling my dopamine addiction at the same time.
