  • Promising with a few issues

Alrighty, it’s a bit cheesy but it’s pretty entertaining, so have to say though I have a few issues, Not only do you need gems for clothes, but characters pressure you to reconsider if you don’t buy clothes, which feels like pressuring me to spend real money and since choices are already expensive when it comes to diamonds it breaks my immersion and just feels like the game asking me to spend money, since you’ve not really going to make enough diamonds from quests or ads from what I can tell unless you very rarely spend them, which makes the game a lot less interesting. Having to pay a girl to tell me a story and pay her AGAIN to tell me the other half feels like a bit much, that was like over 20 diamonds for a full story that was not at all worth it when I could’ve used it for actual story stuff
  • Too Old for Real Love Island

Since I’m old enough to be most islanders Mom this is a fun way to see how you would handle it!!
  • As fun as this game is…

So as the title states; this game is rather entertaining and enjoyable and I’m sure many other players could agree, it requires way too much money to even play properly. I understand the need for certain points or options like maybe kissing your love interest and or buying new clothes, but when it’s asking you for money every other second that you breathe is a little off putting. It makes a lot of people not want to play especially with those who aren’t very rich and don’t have a lot of money to spare. It comes off as very greedy and no one really likes those types of developers. The character designs and story are amazing as well but the fact you need to pay for tickets after only three chapters is even worse than the diamonds. You can barely enjoy the in depth storyline within the free options it gives you and further prompts you to spend money that many don’t have. I really hope you guys will update this at some point and ease the load that it’s asking us or just give better ways for people to get free diamonds + tickets.

You have you basically pay to play this game but on top of that, it’s BORING. You’d think with how saucy and trashy the script for the show is, that this game might have a hook or something… literally the worst “episodes” game I’ve played.
  • Microtransaction shakedown

I calculate that in just one “season” (story), a player who wanted to access the whole story/side dialogs and buy just one custom outfit per time of day would spend more than $170 USD. The stories are okay. But you’d think an app by an already-profitable TV corp could get by without monetizing every single second. This might be the worst app I’ve ever played with pushing microtransactions, including the shadiest match & card games etc. I worry about teens playing and being pressured into big spending over time. Each story is divided into short chapters that take 10-15 minutes to go through at most (the starting season has 42 chapters). Each costs a ticket. You get one ticket every 2 hours (and can’t build up more than 2 at once). Unless you buy them, of course ($2 for 5 tickets), so expect to move forward in small increments. After your first 2 chapters that’s 80 hours of cumulative waiting for 10 hours of content (on the very generous/slow reading speed side). This keeps you from staying up late reading/playing, I guess. But tickets aren’t the bad one. The other premium currency is gems. You start with ~60 gems and are encouraged to spend them during character creation in order to have hair colors, jewelry, etc. Each outfit/character styling component costs 6-12 gems, so you could easily spend them all at this stage. There are many event types with different outfits (daytime, party, etc., 5+). The dressing room girls will act lukewarm about the free outfit in each category (“Are you sure that’s what you’re wearing? I thought you wanted to make a good impression.”) After a while, not only does it suggest you look in the shop for something else, it will open scenes with you wearing a new outfit, have the girls fawn over how perfect it is, and then be like “Keep wearing this? 31 gems” to really push. Outfits are 12-30ish gems, shoes are 10-15 gems, earring and necklace options are like 8-15 gems each. Say you didn’t do any custom anything during character building, you could buy 2-4 things with the starting gems. But…. OUTFITS DON’T TRANSFER BETWEEN SEASONS. So even if you get three outfits in your first story, you’ll be back to zero in the next story (and out of free starting currency). If it were just outfits, it would be annoying. But it’s more egregious—you are also prompted in dialogue by the other characters for play/story options that cost gems at least twice in every ~10 minute episode. The whole point is to feel at least vaguely emotionally attached to these potential fictional romantic partners and friends, and the content-selling dialogues lean on this. There are two typical scenarios: 1) reject your crush or pay Hot Boy You Want to Couple Up With: “Hey, PlayerName, I think I might really like you. Could we get to know each other better? You: “Really? I’d like that” Boy: “Definitely! Let’s go sit in the gazebo and I’ll tell you more about me. I’d love to have some private time.” Your options: “I’d love to! 29 gems.” OR “Actually, I’m not interested.” 2) refuse gossip or story development with your new friends or pay One of the Participants, mid-conversation: “Gosh, PlayerName, this is tough. I’m sorry everyone’s being so prickly.” You: “It’s okay—I know we’re all nervous.” Friend: “It’s more than that, I think. Some drama went down before you got here that you don’t know about. I think it’s why they’re acting like this.” You: “Whoa, really? What happened?” Friend: “Well, people were paired REALLY differently at first before some shady stuff happened. Including [Player’s Partner]. I was surprised and disappointed by how they acted. I think it’s important that someone tell you. Let me fill you in.” You: “Yes, please! Give me the deets. 17 gems.” OR “I don’t think we should gossip.” There are never warm friendly dialogue choices for declining the premium gem content. When you steel yourself to say no, it will prompt A SECOND TIME. The romantic interest will be like “Are you sure? This might be my only chance to decide if we’re compatible before I have to choose at tonight’s recoupling. I thought we had chemistry—was I wrong?” or your friend will be like “Really? You don’t want to know what happened? Including what was said about you? I think it might change your mind about a lot of things,” and you AGAIN have to choose a brusque/rude rejection option or pay up with gems. These story expansion prompts each cost between ~12-29 gems, so you could access about 2 of them *if you didn’t spend any character customization gems* with the starting currency. Again, there are at least 2 in every single episode and 40+ episodes in just the first story/season. The cherry on top? There’s almost no way to earn gems without paying cold hard cash. Every so often (every 20 mins, sometimes less) you can watch an ad to earn one (1) single gem. Requires roughly 17 ads watched (long ads, the kind where you have to click the fast forward, and then click the X, and then click Done) to say yes to ONE prompt in one single episode. And mind, you already have to watch a lot of ads just to proceed through the story! The game says vaguely they can be “earned” by “playing daily” or “quests,” but daily rewards are only 1-2 gems and the quests only reward progress in 1 season and are mostly for spending gems in the first place (ie get 3 gems for completing a quest to own 5 separate daywear outfits in that season, which would cost at least 100 gems to do). Gems are expensive, too. There’s a starting deal ($3 for I think 60? 90? gems), and then you’re looking at what works out to about .10 US per gem. $2 (for 20 gems) is the min. transaction. Almost $2 for one premium dialog or 1-2 outfits. $50 (for 850 gems) is the largest transaction. That gets you down to 6¢ per gem, so like $1.50 for a dialog option or two outfits (but then you’re spending FIFTY DOLLARS on a mid app that will still have ads 🥴). You’ll either go bankrupt or run out of patience before getting through 1 story.
  • No boy options

Tbh if they had boy options the game would be way better but they don’t so idk but the hit to handle game dose so in my opinion that games better just for that simple reason so if the developers are seeing this add boy options to make the game better and drag in more users 💯💯‼️‼️🤦🏽

Honestly, it’s a very good game but it’s just annoying how everything cost money and I only get two tickets and I gotta wait two hours. Honestly, the game could be so much better if you just didn’t want money.

The game has potential but gems are trash, to the point if I don’t spend money I don’t get to enjoy the game. So I a, just going to delete.

Its a great game but you cant continue the story because the ads get stuck or it wants you to pay to continue
  • the gems ….

i honestly think the game is fun, but the amount of gems you need to use is INSANE. even simple conversations or things that should be free cost gems. it really threw me off when i needed to pay gems for an outfit for the heart race challenge? as if the whole point isn’t to dress up … why would it cost gems. along with the gem issue the wait time for passes is too long. two hours for one pass …
