I’ve been using Stashcook for a few years now and commonly recommend it as a registered dietitian. It’s so helpful to plan your meals and create a grocery list. I just recently upgraded to the premium. version and love being able to take pictures of my cookbook recipes now too.

I honestly had my doubts about this app when I first got it. And I personally don’t really write reviews so I think it’s safe to say this app blew my mind. I get all my meal prep recipes off Instagram, I used to save them right on instagram along with everything else I found interesting, so needless to say all my recipes got lost immediately. With this app, all my stuff is in one spot, and the fact that there are step by step instructions? AMAZING. I’m so thankful that feature is included in the free version, I don’t have the money for premium personally but if you’re able to shell out the money I would recommend it. You can track your macros which will only help you with your weight goals. Overall 10/10 app, I’m so thankful, I’m actually making the viral meals I see online and developing a more diverse personal menu. Thank you!!

The app keeps crashing. It’s not easy to find someone to communicate with in order to fix it. Pretty disappointing so far. I would give it another review if someone would contact me to figure this out.
  • Great but missing recipes

Had about 100-150 recipes stashed in this room a break from cooking for health reasons, came back to only 37 out of about 125 recipes, angry and can’t find the original recipe cause I got them all from instagram, some of them that aren’t there I found again, videos weren’t deleted somehow the recipe disappeared, was going to surprised my many upcoming birthday parts with tons of food most of the stuff that left are snacks and barbecue stuff which my grill is broken, unrelated. Very Sad. Edit, I luckily had most of the recipes saved to a folder within Instagram, but most of them don’t have listed ingredients or methods. My original rating was a 2 but honestly for how well the app scans and picks up on the actual words that are being said is amazing so I’m giving it a 3 as most of the good reviews are 4
  • Like it a lot, but missing one thing

I like this app a lot. I use the recipe storage and shopping list the most. There is really only one thing I don’t like (or I can’t get information on how to do). When I add my own recipe, I cannot figure out how to add a negative amount of an ingredient. For example, I have an InstaPot Greek Yogurt recipe that I use with FairLife Whole Milk. After the yogurt is made, I drain out about 2 cups of liquid acid Whey. I can’t figure out how to adjust the recipe so the nutrition information is correct. Other than that, I LOVE it.
  • Love Stashcook but..

I have paid extra for premium and I am inundated with ads still, it’s frustrating! I can’t add new recipes without being attacked by ads. I would be devastated to have to abandon for a different solution. Is there some way to reduce the interruption or a necessary evil?
  • Game changer!

We have been using this app for our family, and it has made dinner time more organized. If I can’t make it one night my husband can just look at the calendar to cook. The only hiccup is I keep getting ads after paying for premium. One thing that would be amazing is if it integrated with Kroger to add items to a shopping list for order.
  • Best meal planning app

It stores personal recipes and also downloads recipes from websites. The recipes are scalable and remove the unnecessary comments that plague every online recipe. You can add ingredients manually to the shopping list or dump from the meal plan. Perfect app for busy people who cook at home!

  • Recommend over physical book

I recommend this app over having a ton of physical books where you only use a few recipes. My go to over books when meal planning. I use the free version for now. I intend to pay the small amount for family sharing in near future. I love that you can edit saved recipes where I had tips or remove items/substitute within ingredients. I love the search option & delete option when I saved same recipe more than once. I love I can add my own recipes. Easy to use. Not sure if it’s an option but someday I’d love to have my treasures made into my own favorite recipe book! Thank you for such a great app with no issues!
