Description

Directive helps you stay up to date with routine maintenance to safeguard the important things in your life. Regular maintenance saves money by reducing the need for costly emergency repairs, plus, it gives you peace of mind, knowing that crucial safety equipment is working in case of emergency. Here's 3 reasons why you need Directive: 1. Makes Maintenance Easy to Remember Directive includes dozens of templates to help you set up the maintenance tasks you want to complete. Then, it sends you notifications when it's time to complete routine maintenance. 2. Makes Maintenance Easy to Complete Store details in the app like filter sizes, or the type of oil your car uses, so when the time comes, you know all the things you need. Plus, quick action buttons help you buy parts, find service contractors, or get instructions for tasks like testing your fire extinguisher. 3. Makes Maintenance Easy to Track A couple taps let you log a task as complete, and Directive will keep a record of it, along with any notes you saved, and then set up a reminder for the next time it's due. Look back any time at your maintenance history. Directive is available for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. The free version allows you to track up to 10 different maintenance tasks, without any advertisements or nags to purchase. Directive Pro is available as an auto-renewing subscription for a very low annual price (price may vary by region), that gives you access to Directive Pro on iPhone, iPad and Mac. It allows you to track unlimited maintenance tasks, plus, it backs up and syncs your maintenance tasks & history across all your devices. You can even share them with a partner. In addition, it allows more customization, like setting custom repeat intervals for tasks. The Directive Pro subscription automatically renews unless canceled at least 24 hours prior end of the subscription. Payment will be charged to your iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase. You may cancel or disable your subscription by going to your App Store Account Settings after purchase. • Good, useful app but needs updating more than once a year

I subscribe to Directive Pro. I enjoy this app. It’s useful to me. However, it kind of erks me to pay for something that hasn’t been updated for over a year. Please update the app.

Got the pro so i can sync between my devices. Does exactly what it is for. Dear creator, can you please make notifications setting to nag me every day when a task is over due. Also an option for every day after my reminder. For example right now it warns me 1 week in advance, but i want it to harass me every day after as well. That way tasks get done. Thank you!!!
  • Great app, needs a Print option

This app works very well, syncing between iPhone and Mac is seamless, the option to print or save a PDF of completed directives would be very nice to have.
  • Pretty good, needs some feature fixes

Would be really great if the notes/details fields were bigger and could be displayed better on the screen. I like to put instructions or a paragraph note in some of these and the text is cut off in display mode (edit mode too but then you can sort of scroll sideways in them)
  • Has huge potential

I’ve enjoyed this app so far, but there are certainly a few bugs. The sync feature seems to be selective between my devices, only getting about 85% of the tasks synced. The detail field in each directive is very short, and not expandable to list out more than a line of text. No ability to add photos. Massive massive potential here though - love the design and simplicity. Love the ability to add buttons to take me to websites/map/form/instructions/etc. Developer’s website is largely empty, with not a lot of help to be found. Wish there could be more default options to start you off and running too. Would like to see the simplicity and versatility of this app go head to head with the new Consumer Reports app Unkept. Excited for what’s to come.
  • Covers the Basics but Weak Scheduling

I really like this program except for the scheduling intervals. There is not an option to make something due on the last day of the month. No quartely option either. I hope the developer enhances the sceduling a bit more and I would give it a much higher rating.
  • Perfectly Simple and Customizable

Nothing about this app is trying to sell you on something with expensive monthly fees or forced referral links. It is a perfect balance of pre configured templates and customizable options. Love this app
  • This is such an obvious functionality...

...that I can't believe it needed to be created as its own specialized app. I tried to use Things, Evernote, and Apple Calendar, but they all required too much tinkering to work simply. This app does that. Feature requests for future iterations: 1. Sync capability with Apple Calendar and Reminders. 2. Ability to sort by category (and sub categories), not just dates. Autos>Subaru; Autos>Toyota. Home>Hot Tub Maintenance, etc.
  • Still broken

When this app was first released, it exhibited a serious annoyance: old, deleted items would still show up in your notifications. That is still true today, a year later. Deleted and won't be trying it again, since this dev clearly doesn't want people to use or pay for this app.
  • Good Home Task Organizer

Bought a house a year ago and realizing how much there is to do (!) every season. This app helps you remember all things you need to do when spring comes! The app would be even better if I could easily also add all the “one-time” to-do’s (non-repeating). That is not an option when setting up an item. Easy enough to delete the item, but would be good if that were built in!
