Description

A reading program for children from birth to age 6 based on the proven Glenn Doman method. Glenn Doman found children can learn very rapidly if the information is provided in a simple, uncluttered, rapid and repetitive fashion. Getting started is quick and easy. The program has a library of typical words, couplets, phrases, and short sentences that allows a child to develop a solid foundation for reading. It manages the lessons by displaying the word, shuffling the words in a lesson, adding and removing words, and displaying the words in a clear and uncluttered fashion. The lessons are kept in the cloud so each lesson is a continuation of the previous lesson. The lesson can be used on a variety of platforms (Android, Apple, and Windows) and different devices. For very small children, the words displayed should be about 3 inches high. This can be accomplished using tablets, PCs, or smart phones with a connection to a TV. Reading Doman’s “Teach Your Baby to Read” will provide you with a clear understanding of the background of this method.

  • Helpful Doman Method App

This app is so far the most helpful app that adequately applies the principles using Doman flashcard method. The best part is it is structured by “words/groups/sessions/phases” and in the same time the contents can be customized according to individual needs/conditions. Also it will repeat the sessions and do the calculation for each word/phrase in use. It will add on to its pros if the app can “run/play” on its own with adjustable speed or rhythm. But so far it is the most convenient and user-friendly app available in AppStore that programs/employs Doman’s basic principles and at the same time grants for revisions!
