Fun game and always loved it so i was excited to play it. Only problem I’m having is when using the controller you can’t bring up the progress map which makes it very inconvenient.

Ok. Firstly, the game is great! My only irk are the controls. Unless you have a control to use, trying to play without one is near impossible! 😩 other than that everything plays smoothly. The continue option is kinda nice since I don’t have to start over at a save point!
  • Very cool and faithful release. Would love to see Apple TV support

Takes way too long to restart game after character dies.

Such an amazing game that’s still enjoyable even today. However this port isn’t the best for players who want to use the touch screen controls. It’s simply just not made for it, you can get used to it after a while but it’s highly recommended to just use a controller.

    This one needs “Controller Recommend”.
  • Takes getting used to, but is great afterwards.

The mobile controls & the game itself were a challenge at first to get used to as I’ve never played this game before, but after getting the hang of it, I’m having a blast. It was worth the few bucks it cost. Highly recommend.

It took me a long time to figure out the different things I could do in the game because I’ve never played or had anyone around me play it but it’s so fun once I got the hang of it!! It was super enjoyable learning new skills and accidentally unlocking spells lol I haven’t finished it yet but super pleased!
  • I spawn next to a red skeleton and die

I began playing the game and still in the beginning. I died in a room with red skeletons. I click continue and I keep respawning next to a skeleton that is an instant kill and game over. First time trying this game. I do not recommend. Also the controls need to be improved. The directional pads are hard to use on a touchscreen. Would be better with a circular directional pad.
  • Great game, decent-ish port, but not good for a first playthrough.

It’s Symphony of the Night on a freaking smartphone! But there are some issues. For one, 1/3 of the screen is taken up by ugly touch controls. Like all touch controls, the lack of tactile feedback makes it difficult and unsatisfying to control. Another issue I have is them not including the og dub. The og dub objectively sucked, but it was iconic, with so many quotable lines. They also redesigned all the menus, and they are quite ugly. But it’s still Symphony of the Night on a freaking smartphone! I cannot in good conscience recommend this for a first playthrough of the game (emulate the PSX version), but it’s great if you want to revisit this classic masterpiece on the go.
