Great app. Pulls in NOAA data in a form that’s more mobile friendly. And spaghetti plots are a valuable complement to data on NOAA site when we’re trying to make contingency plans. We consult this app frequently during hurricane season. In fact it’s my first stop for storm updates.

Up until the latest update ive loved the app; go back to old home screen with camera choices as landing page.. takes longer to load app when its trying to load images at the same.. the app also lacks the ability to view all regions such as central America and other area’s storms could form… ill go back to using the actual noaa site, due to the lack of this app’s development, and maintenance… the creators/developers of this app should just quit if this is the continuation of the app..

The NHC Hurricane Tracker App is not only useful for monitoring possible local weather changing events as they distantly form in the world, it’s fascinating to use!

This free tracker is easy to use, doesn’t drag you down with a non-intuitive interface, and it’s FREE!

If you’re not looking for the entertainment of the weather channel and want data to make decisions, this is a good source of data from the national why would you use anything else?
  • Don’t update , includes video ads now

Changes to this app in the most recent version include a nag screen to allow ad tracking opt in and the use of full screen video ads that never were part of the app before. I guess not enough people were paying for the premium and the developer wanted to make more money. Sad that greed won here. I can no longer recommend this app.
