Brov how can a app be so soooo bad that it doesn't even download. It was stuck at 98.8!!! Worst app would not ever even for 1 million dolars recomend.

APP will not open or login.

Have a new email address and it wont verify tried 2 other email addresses gmail and icloud. doesn't work. Of course after i paid for PREMIUM subscription worthles

Textnow is prone to degrade from use, formed over a ten year perspective. This app has to be replaced when back-to-back relaunches no longer recover the ability to open. Sometimes that isn’t good enough and persisting user preference files corrupt the app on relaunch and have to be tracked down, removed and then reinstall the app. Extra work is the norm for TextNow customers. The app has a broad spectrum of progressive corruption, features degrade and there’s a loss of function. Soon to go is the ability to complete spell check, the app will “flag” what it determines a misspelt word from a simplistic vocabulary, but can’t pull up any suggestions, even for common adjacent key errors. The endogenous spell check feature also is only provisioned to the capacity to satisfy the needs of a high school dropout. Next is the loss of copy-paste capacity, once it degrades a whole message has to be copied, pasted into another text based app, with active spell check, reselect what's needed, delete the temporary message and then use in TextNow or the intended text. That’s called “Schlepping around a loss of function”. The progression of the corruption is apparent when the app losses ability to use the the computer's, contacts. When this happens a whole new contact list has to be manually built up within the Textnow app, because it can’t import vCards. There’re other significant loss of functions. TextNow Eventually the app stalls on launch and the account holder has to switch to web messaging or be removed & reinstalled Just reinstalling doesn’t reliably restore operation. Web Messaging is not an efficacious solution either, It doesn’t use ANY stored contacts. TextNow doesn’t apparently know how to use call survey feedback. I’ve been providing the same responses for years and there is no change, not even a real human response to anything that has been provided. It’s apparently the feedback response that does display is just from the app. I suspect feedback is deleted to save server space space, because an AI is too expensive to implement. This app has the feel of an 90s High School Project with a streak of sociopathic clinical avarice hostaging. They promise that everything will work if you provide a credit card for $120 dollars, TextNow Nickel-and-Dimes to that overall yearly cost. All these negatives makes the app unsuitable for the homeless, financially constrained, immigrants and as a recovery number for loss of phone. Textnow needs to examine the contents of their corporate culture. They chronically miss the needs of their poor users and paying customers.

Requires ticking a box for "have read mumble, mumble" in order to sign up... but the tick box is always disabled. So can't sign up on app. No way to sign up on web site.

i agree would love the app if it would let me log in their failing to let me sign up tryed multiple times
