Thought-provoking: Present audio articles that inform, inspire, and offer fresh insights, through both a global and a national lens. Focus on opinion, feature, and analysis articles. 3. Storytellers: Be storytellers and educators. Help our listeners understand global topics, and perspectives, while also telling the stories of the people behind the headlines. 4. Global Impact: Ensure coverage and raise awareness of important topics, regardless of a topics popularity or ability to drive “clicks”. 5. Fourth Estate: Uphold journalism’s values as a democratic check on power. And always celebrate great journalism. 6. Embrace Complexity: Encourage thought and avoid black and white explanations that aren't followed with depth. The world is complicated and can seldom be explained in minutes. Our goal is to help listeners navigate it. Who reads the articles on Noa? Listening to the best journalism is a great way to stay informed, especially when you don’t have time to read. Audio articles are produced and recorded daily by Noa’s talented voice actors – Sam Scholl, Adrienne Walker, Peter Hanly, Martin Buchanan, Les Smith and more. They’re probably in the booth recording as you read this! What are 'Series' on Noa? Each week, Noa’s editors select the very best audio articles and add them to topic-specific playlists. Every Series begins with a short explainer – written by a Noa editor – that provides valuable context on the subject at hand before you dive in. Within 20-30 minutes, you’ll walk away fully informed. Are there any additional features? We know you expect more. That’s why the Noa app also offers: • In-app chat (we respond quickly) • My Stats to view your daily streak and listening stats • Save, Download, and Follow • Share – articles and Series • Read Along Noa's commitment to privacy: We’re real people and we take great care to protect your data. • The app won’t let you create an account!

After downloading this app, it tells you to pick the news sources and then tells you to login! Not create a new account; just the option to login. So how are you supposed to create a new account?!
  • The Best Way to Stay Informed – Effortless and Engaging!

Noa offers a seamless listening experience with top-notch articles from the world’s best sources. I especially love Harvard Business Review and Fast Company. The UX is smooth, and listening is far more enjoyable than reading. Whether commuting or working out, Noa makes staying informed effortless. Highly recommended!

I love listening to quick and long form articles.
  • Where's the CarPlay port?

This is a great app. It should be a natural for listening in the car. I hope we'll see a CarPlay interface soon!
  • Slow, no fast forward

App is slow, you can’t fast forward, and overall the ui is very low quality. You’re better off going to publishers individually.
  • Impossible to create account

The account creation process is a tedious selection of topic preferences, and when you reach the end it says “welcome back” and has options to login with different services or username/password. Trying to create an account here just says “account doesn’t exist” and there’s no explicit “create account” button. Unfortunately I’m now totally stuck within this apps onboarding process and can’t use it in any way.
  • Couldn’t even figure out how to signup

It’s rare in 2024 to encounter an app with such bad onboarding. After picking topics, which couldn’t be skipped, I was brought to a screen to log in but there was no button to sign up.
  • Not enough media

Great design, but not enough publications for my interests.
  • Setup process is annoying

I saw that they had stuff from pro publica so I am interested in trying the app. But I’m not interested in picking other sources or interests. It sounds like there is a way to sign up outside the app so I may try that later.
  • Do not download this app

After I started using it, they emailed me and said they were giving me Premium for 7 days free and I wouldn’t be charged till after. I don’t even know who to complain to. I never said I wanted Premium. It is a bait and switch.
