I put this app for my kids so I can control the time and see what there watching. My kids now hate me, and pray for my downfall. This app has ruined my relationship with my kids and even my husband. This app is bad. Would recommend if you wanna see what your kids are doing and control there time. Would not recommend if you want your kids to love you and have a good relationship with them.

It’s so weird how parents don’t trust us. Specifically if WE HAVENT DONE ANYTHING, controlling parents make sneaky kids. If I could I would rate this app a 0 but unfortunately I can’t. If your a parent and you feel the need to be nosy ur weird and strange if we haven’t done anything proving that we can’t be trusted why should we have to share our own personal life, messages, photos, friends. It’s none of your business to know that stuff and if your so worried maybe do weekly going through there phone? This app is a total invasion of privacy and it’s very disappointing on how many parents don’t trust there own kids before you get this app to “protect” ur kid just know it’s not going to solve anything there will still be conflicts but not “online” in real life with you being a bad parent. So yes kids the next time you parent says “I’m doing this to protect you” no they are not. They are so many other things that kids would need protecting from.

This is an awesome app!! I really love that I can arrange my apps, and when they go away then come back, they’re arranged the way I want them! I get to start my time when I want, just at the touch of a button. And my mom can supervise so I don’t get into trouble. 110% recommend!!

Please read before your final thoughts before paying an expensive subscribtion OurPact Jr. and Ourpact. Introduction Hello, I am a teenager and I will NOT disclose my age and gender. Introduction: So before writing this review I went back into public reviews, and I didn’t find mine. I first reviewed back in April, I searched the whole months reviews. I believe either the developer of Ourpact Jr. And Ourpact have removed my review due to my emotions I poured into it, or the Appstore doesn’t show your past reviews in the category in reviews which I believe is stupid. This isn’t the point. Year Before A brief summary of what the year before my parents installed Ourpact Jr. onto my phone. Before Ourpact Jr. I believe this year was 2020, and it was the Middle of the year. Life was fun as a child besides having to attend school through video calls on a device due to Covid 19 also known as Corona Virus (Which I’ve heard is sparking up again..😬). I was definitely Innocent back then, but this is the beginning. I learned to use curse words through a certain game with meetings, tasks, and imposters that became popular in this year. If your a child and some adults reading this than you know what game this is, and are probably wandering why was I starting to use curse words now instead of the normal grade of kindergarten (Yes, you heard me correct. Even the youngest can learn). I was in a private school for most of my elementary years. This rose to problem as because I became part of a public school in 2020, and I learned that other kids my age cursed and talked about adultery and other content inappropriate for their age. Following years: I was forced into this and didn’t seem to find a problem… until I realized I never told my parents that I figured out what the birds and the bees are, I was at that age where I finally developed common sense.. or so I thought. At first this also wasn’t a problem for me, all my tiny brain could think is to keep it to myself and survive until i move out to tell them. How wrong I was. I became depressed and would sit on my phone at night watching videos , playing games, and at midnight I would creep out of my room- my parents in the room next to mine, and I would plug my phone in like it was there the whole night. This went by for around 1 month, then my parents hooked up the family setting- they were now able to see what times I used on my phone. I was given three warnings not to do it again, but as a child I was an idiot so I didn’t care and still did it. I was grounded for a long 3 months. Three months without one of the most addicting objects on earth, you can see how that went. As soon as I got my phone back— Ourpact Jr. had arrived, and almost and everything was locked to thirty minutes a day. Before I would only play for a little while on my phone then get distracted by my siblings, then I would spend on it for over 3 hours a day. See this is where I sound like a criminal and I was wrong to do this, but leaving a clean private school with no nsfw except for the occasional potty jokes to full on cursing and adultery in the matter of 9 months caused me the start of a horrible depression. And for the record part of this depression started when I was probably in kindergarten. My parents broke up, and as a young child I actually understood what a break up was relatively well except the fact I only saw my dad 4 days a months (When I’m referencing parents, I mean mother and step-father), and the reason why. The reason I learned recently this year and I considered to share it on this review until I realized I have already shared way too much. Continuing on past my comfort zone; a few months later from this time my security was decreased as they began to trust me again. Fast-forwarding a few years a personal accident happened, and my google and safari was taken off and is still off today. Then the subscription ran out on Ourpact. I was free to do whatever I want, but instead of my previous self playing until 11:00pm at the latest, to 4:00am at the latest. Yes from 9:00pm to 4:00am. A week later the subscription was fixed. Around this time I wrote my previous review that mysteriously went missing realizing how stupid this app is. Anyways I continued on my phone, Specifically the notes app where I would right stories from my imagination and my feelings of the day at night. My older sibling found out and snitched on me despite getting in trouble the previous nights for staying up on their phone past midnight as well. Now we both had to keep both our phones in their rooms every night. I am righting this review at night, and at my fathers house. The only place where news of me being grounded at my mothers house rarely gets informed, and even when informed rarely punishes my father stating it isn’t his and my step-mothers problem I got in trouble at my genetic mothers house. My Parents believe restricting my phone will stop me from being exposed the the harms of the world and stop my addictions from spreading. One word: School. 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐭𝐡: The main point and truth of this is that no matter what you do. My Parents believe restricting my phone will stop me from being exposed the the harms of the world and stop my addictions from spreading, but no amount of security will stop addictions with electronics and other addictions I am unwilling to share to stop, because as a teenager filled with hormones and emotions and chaos and agony (Might be going overboard with Agony 😁). As soon as we get a chance we will take it. As a parent if you believe blocking out any chance and quadrupling the already extreme security you downloaded with your own helicopter mind and eyes will prevent your child to be obedient. We are humans too, despite being younger, some are born to be problem solvers especially when they find away to remove the app like me (I wont do it tho). If you manage to maximize everything. We can wait till 18. Despite being teens we can be very patient. I’m Depressed

I hope both the OurPact developers and parents planning to download this app read this. I will likely be putting a review on the OurPact Parent app and e-mailing a copy of this review to the support team as well. Besides that, I’ll get to my point. I’m a late-teenager child using this app. I’m not a fan of it. I understand why my parents put it on my phone. I understand why kids don’t like it. I have things that can be updated/implemented. Here’s my list: One: Invalid Broadcast Every once in a while, I’ll get the “Attempt to Start Invalid Broadcast” message. I don’t know why this happens or what it’s triggered by. What I do know is it can be fixed by a so-called “OurPact Jr. repair.” Two problems with this: How is it done and is it done on the Parent app or Child app? If you could put these instructions in the Developer Response, that would be great. Two: Connectivity & Wi-Fi This app cannot be used without decent cellular and/or Wi-Fi (which I will call ‘connection’ for simplicity’s sake) This creates a bit of a problem. Now, I understand why you’d need connection so that the parent can block/unblock apps or grant more time for the child. I don’t understand why you would need connection for simply using your screen time allowance. I only have the theory of the screenshots sent to the Parent app every five minutes. If there’s a way to make the allowance usable without connection, please do. Three: Contacting Support E-Mail is a great way to contact the support team, or anyone besides friends, but I believe it could (depending on the size of the support team) be faster if there was a way to do this through both the parent and child apps. After all (and I work with the public, so I know this is true most of the time), quicker results make for happier customers. Especially if they’re paying for your app. Four: Contacting Parents Through App The only reason I’m adding this in here is because parents have jobs and can’t always call, combined with kids having their messages blocked while parents are at work. I feel like this could be very beneficial for both parties and easy to implement. After all, plenty of apps have this feature. Five: Deleting Apps Deleting apps is a setting that can be turned on, yes. Turning this setting on also lets the kid delete the OurPact Jr. app. I know deleting the app makes the whole setup break. If this setting could be changed to where the OurPact Jr. app couldn’t be deleted, that could be great. Six: Bonus Time I’d like a setting implemented to where the child could have a ‘Time Bank’. This could be toggleable where the child can save their unused time from the day before and use it the next day. Example: I have one hour on Mondays. I only use 45 minutes. The remaining fifteen minutes would be saved so I can use it Tuesday (the next day) after my time allowance runs out. Obviously, this wouldn’t be indefinite. It would only carry over to the next day, or maybe a week before resetting. Seven: App Scrambling I’ve seen a developer answer that said there is a solution to App Scrambling, yet it still happens to my phone. Can we get this fixed please? Anyway, those are my entries into the suggestion box. I hope that at least some of these will be implemented into the app. I think this will definitely be a win-win for both the parents and the kids. Thank you for your time. -Mal

hi! you probably think i’m one of those kids who’s just giving the app a bad review bc they’re mad at their parents for giving them screen time, but you’re wrong, i actually am extremely grateful my parents decided to give me screen time because it helps me not get sucked into doing nothing all the time. BUT this app is not it for doing that recently. my parents have had Ourpact set up on my phone for about 3 years now and there’s been multiple times over the years where I went to turn on my screen time, not doing anything different than normal, but I kept getting the same pop up notification saying I was trying to start an “invalid broadcast session.” It was not allowing me to use my allotted time. I tried restarting my phone, powering it off, updating my phone itself and the app, and it’s still would not work. eventually it would fix itself, but then it would happen again about a month or so after. it’s been getting worse recently where it’s happening more and more often and it’s really frustrating. before it was about maybe every 4 months and now it’s about every other week. my parents and i have both emailed support a bunch of times and they keep saying the same thing and it’s not working. if you could please fix this it would be amazing. thank u so much.
