  • Wind speed, not accurate

For the most part, this weather station is pretty good, everything seems to work fairly well except for the anometer. This thing is so far from accurate it’s not even funny. I have it mounted 12 feet above my second story roof. The wind here is gusting easily to 40 miles an hour as I typed this and this thing hasn’t registered over 18 mph. Completely unacceptable if I could return it, I would.
  • Top notch station and app

I’d contemplated buying a tempest weather station for months since last major hail storm destroyed my previous weather station. I received / deployed the tempest station 1 week ago. The station and app provide a robust data collection. I greatly appreciate the battery charge info. I cannot attest to rain accuracy as we’ve had no rain since installing. The hardware and tempest mounting provide a clean, non-invasive mounting. Very pleased in all aspects of equipment and app thus far.
  • Needs Apple TV app

This is a good app and I especially like the Apple Watch complications. The blaring missing feature would be an Apple TV app. I would love to have this as an option for people staying at my vacation rental.
  • Total Junk

Please fix this useless app! This app is useless! It’s nothing like the very good mobile app. The mobile app at least shows the days rain total. Does not show last lightning strike, rain total yesterday, no brightness nor solar radiation etc. UNESS you make the app 50 inches wide on your screen!!
  • Useful for Day to Day Activities

I have 4 Tempest units deployed and find them very useful for day to day activities and fro planning. The app provides a lot of info and the notifications for lightning and rain are great. Best station and app I’ve used.
  • Update broke the app.

Today’s update broke the ability to view the data. When clicking the top, instead of seeing the data, a page explains Nearcast Technology with no way to exit.
  • Here’s a software enhancement suggestion

Under settings, there is the tempest map option where you can look at all the stations around the country with the toggle between weather or stations. It’s kind of annoying that you have to keep zooming in trying to find out where you’re at to look at other stations in the area. Since the homepage of my station already has the radar integrated, why don’t you integrate the tempest weather station button on that page ? because it’s already zoomed into your location?
  • Fix it or remove it!

I waited for yesrs for an integrated map, however a drop it and forget solution is unacceptable. It constantly stalls, locks up, etc., anytime there’s anything but a default view. Unacceptable!
  • rather worthless- cant adjust rain totals- never correct!

Do how difficult is it to allow station owner the ability to change rain totals?? This is NEVER correct against a Davis OR CoCoRaHs basic rain gauges. Without this ability? Its a total waste.
