They charge your card even after cancellation. I did the three day trial and tried out the app. Did not like the app one bit so I canceled before i was charged for the year. A day later i see they charged me 140$ for the year even after i cancelled. Please avoid this app at all costs unless you want 140 dollars to go down the drain

I’ve tried several apps to learn guitar and this app is my favorite. I highly recommend it.

I’ve used a few different apps to re-engage with my guitars but this is by far the best. All the guides are well explained and constructed so it’s easy to follow along. Jamie Humphries does a great job of teaching. He breaks concepts down and the reconstructs for understanding. A tad long winded at times but I will grant him that because he definitely knows what he’s talking about. Highly recommend this app.

This the best guitar app out there but a few suggestions. The rhythm learning track is really easy and the solo track is far more difficult and has more content. I would like to see more finger style and chord picking lessons and songs. Save high score. The only way to see if you’re improving is through getting stars but once you have three stars you can’t tell anymore. You get a points score so why doesn’t it save so I can see if I beat my previous score? When playing songs I have to go to the first practice lesson to see if I need a capo. I want to go straight to the full song and practice but I have to go back and double check which gets annoying. Star totals only show on the lesson track. I want too see how many I have across lessons and songs.
  • Songs disappear

I had been learning a song for days, practicing consistently and following the lessons step by step. Just when I was starting to enjoy it and see some real progress… the song disappeared! No warning, no notification—just removed because, apparently, they no longer have the legal rights. I find it unacceptable that a platform focused on music learning can’t ensure the stability of its content. Investing time only to have it wasted like this is frustrating and discouraging. If you can’t guarantee the availability of songs, at least notify users in advance or offer alternatives. This is not professional.
  • Great App, one thing though.

This app has been great. Goes slow and is pretty thorough. I appreciate the options of different songs per lesson. My only gripe though is when I cant go the speed of the lesson and I slow it down, I don’t get any stars, which I get even though I don’t recall that being explained. But if a lesson has been particularly frustrating, i would love a ‘great job, now work on speeding it up,’ instead of ‘you need at least one star to move on,’ like I’m a loser. Like I said, just the one gripe to an otherwise great app.

This is majorly how I just started playing guitar and im loving it so far. What i was hoping is if you guys could maybe add a suggestion tab for songs people would like. I personally would love to have “love on the rocks” by Neil Diamond on there but I think a suggestion tab would be great. Apart from that it id a very good app and in my opinion helps very better at teaching you guitar by going much more in depth i to the basics of first playing. So id recommend for beginners or people just wanting to learn guitar but not go and get lessons anywhere.

I’ve had a sentimental guitar for about 10 years now and every time I try to pick it up (with or without an instructor) I put it right back down and lament how I wish it would just “come to me.” I’ve been playing with this app for three weeks now and have just gotten through all the chords!!! I’m PLAYING CHORDS!!! The app makes it addicting and fun and easy to learn. If you’ve been putting off picking up your guitar and you see this review…. Pay for the app and start playing!! I’m telling you, it’s worth every penny and it’s the best things that’s happened to me all year. Thank you Gibson! Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant!
  • So glad I’ve found this app!

The lessons, feedback, gamified approach, helpful information, and AI feedback make this app stand out. This is a great adjunct to having a live teacher. This will really stoke your motivation to become a better player
