Compare trends over the weeks, months or years. BATTERY CONSUMPTION Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. Life Cycle does not use the GPS in the background, but instead relies on cell tower and Wi-Fi locations. As a result, it consumes less than 1% of your battery per day, when the app runs in the background. REQUIREMENTS • Life Cycle needs to run in the background to be able to record your data. It only uses 1% of your battery per day when doing so. • You need to carry your phone with you, for Life Cycle to accurately record and interpret your activities. • Wi-Fi should be enabled on your phone for tracking to work. App won’t show my data by location. Support page doesn’t exist. Export data doesn’t work. I use this app for invoice and can’t se data because it says I have to upgrade but when I try it says I already have subscription. Fix this. I’m losing money
  • 8-Year User on Life Cycle

I’ve been using Lifecycle for 8 years now, and I can’t tell you how much this app has helped me in my life. It’s truly one of the most treasured apps I have on my phone, simply because it keeps so many memories, places, and activities all in one succinct place. I can go back and see exactly what I was doing on any given day. One thing I love about having the app for eight years is that it has barely changed, which is sometimes not always a good thing, but in this case, I think it has been great. I appreciate the consistency and functionality of Lifecycle. It’s already so well designed that it doesn’t need much improvement. Having had it for eight years now, I do have a few suggestions for how it could be even better. The app excels at collecting time signatures for places I visit automatically, which is fantastic. It also lets me add notes for each time slot, and I can see those notes delivered in weekly, monthly, or yearly summaries, which is very helpful. But I wish there were a more detailed view, perhaps a list or weekly calendar format I could swipe through, showing the activities I’ve done over my days in a week. Still keep the daily and weekly donuts but It would be really interesting to see a chronological breakdown of my activities in a list form over the day to see when I started my days vs when I ended them and what I actually spent time doing overlayed on what I planned to do etc. More importantly, I think it would be great if there was a simple timer feature for tracking time. For example, if I’m working on something while at home, Lifecycle doesn’t track that unless I add an event afterward. It would be nice to have a quick ‘+’ button that opens a timer, letting me track tasks in real time. When the task is complete, I could then label it, and it would integrate into my daily timeline seamlessly as opposed to remembering when I started an activity, paused, and or finished one after the fact. Another helpful addition would be a more detailed note-taking section where I could go through each event side by side that had notes and filter these notes on specific places or events, I am able to do this in a data export which is great but in app functionality for it would be fantastic. This could also be integrated with apple calendar, reminders or notes app, or other planning tools for even better insights into how my planned activities match my actual activities. All in all, Lifecycle has been an amazing app, and it’s incredible as it stands. I just feel that with a few minor tweaks, like adding a timer function and a more detailed breakdown of activities, it could become an even more powerful tool for tracking time and improving productivity. I’d love to see these features implemented while keeping the app as simple and functional as it has always been.
  • Concerned about the future of this app and its sibling apps

No updates have been made to this app in more than a year and the website for the developer works, but the links to its sub pages all 404. I want to be clear, I love this app. I love what it provides me. I live on the abundance of information that this app provides. But I’m worried. There’s so many low hanging fruit items that this app could have implemented from any of the iOS releases from them last three or four years, but none of them, even the easiest of them, have been done. I think this app is destined for the graveyard and I hate that because I don’t know of any other app that does anything like what this one does.

I signed up for the trial, and THE NEXT DAY decided it wasn’t for me and canceled my subscription and removed it from my devices. Two days later, I am charged for a full year. C’mon!!! I’m trying to get it refunded but the system for requests is robotic and limited. REFUND MY $30 and maybe don’t try to rip people off before the trial even fully begins?
  • I ish it was updated more often

Love the app and have used it for 3-4 years now. I wish it got updated regularly. One weird glitch I’m having recently is if I’m home for several hours, especially at night, it will show I’m traveling at random times when I’m not moving at all.
  • Needs improvement for retired people

I need to change email address associated with my account, and there no place to do it. I just cancelled the annual subscription instead! Link to support is dead Do not waste your money here! For retirees, it will always say: you tend to spend a lot of time at home on (any day of the week) This is not news to us; please tell me something else!

I can’t say enough good things about this app. I have had the need to go back and find out when I was doing some work in another city. It is great to have a record of the days that I traveled there and the times I spent in certain places. I love that it shows me my daily balance and my weekly and monthly activity.
  • Not for WFH

It’s a nice idea, but it’s basically useless for people who work from home. There’s no accurate way to automatically detect what i’m doing at home, and documenting every time I switch activities is just not feasible.
  • Ridiculous

It’s ridiculous that this app is completely unusable without location services.
  • Flaws

I really like this app but there are a few flaws. For example, I set the location for my current office as interview when I interviewed for the job. Now that I have the job, I cannot adjust that and it records my being at work as an interview. There is no intuitive way to correct this, it’s not addressed in the « help » section in the app, and there is no creator contact info in the app. Right now I am having to change the tag from interview to work every day. If I can’t change it somehow, I won’t be renewing the subscription
