I tried to email them to cancel my account everyday for 2 months. No one responded. Rediculous.

I want news without ads, and am willing to pay for it. I assumed that’s what I paid Apple News for, but it’s riddled with ads. But what’s the deal with not showing the date/time of the articles? The intention appears to be to mask how long it takes for articles to appear. In my opinion, the lack of dates compounds the latency problem rather than masking it. I also don’t see how I can get Washington post or New York Times articles, even with my own subscription. Inkl could have additional subscriptions for each premium newspaper, which would be worthwhile to have all news in one place, and without ads. I love the idea, and the price is more than reasonable, but I still have to use another news service to get timely news. And if I’ve already read the news that pops up on Inkl a day or two later, I’m not likely to want read it again. For this reason, I’m not sure if I’ll continue.

This news ap used to be completely on point—not a ton of news every day but what you got was always quality. The best feature was “good news” which had positive articles about science, culture, art, etc. Inkl must have changed the algorithm recently though, because now there’s a lot of celebrity click-bait in daily news, “good news” is full of weight loss articles, and “science” has dozens of headlines about The Mandalorian, legos, etc that just happen to mention the word “space.” Still better than Apple News though.

Great reading interface, solid news sources, excellent voice over to listen to the articles. Makes Apple News look like an airport magazine rack. I spend much more time reading saved articles because it is such a pleasant reading experience. Bravo!
  • Stale news

Over the past few weeks, their feed updates maybe once in 2 days. The headlines/feed remains static for 2-3 days. Think I will cancel the subscription.
  • Great App — room for improvement

I would absolutely love if there were actually many more customizable options. inkl touts customizability, but I don’t feel there is that much of it here. Apple News, for instance, allows you to customize the topic of their widgets, but inkl only allows “lead stories,” which I’m REALLY not a fan of because they’re all stories I don’t want to hear about. I don’t care to constantly read about politics, business, and Covid-19. I’d also like the ability to change the fonts!
  • Worth every cent

This is the best news curation and user experience of any news app. I’ve been through nearly all of them. They code quality sources and bc it’s all subscription based, there’s no click bait or ads at all. Hallelujah!!

The apps widget isn’t loading anything. Aside from that, its designed well. Will update this review following the trial.

Can’t open an app, it crushes and I don’t know how to re-install it or make it work.
