    I have had a membership to this app for several years now and even though I sometimes go months without using it, I keep the subscription every year. The times I do use it are so helpful and I wish I could convince everyone I know to use this app. Meditation and mindfulness are explained in the easiest, most everyday terms. You don’t have to want to be a guru or meditate for hours a day. I mean, there are 1-minute and 3-minute meditations and meditations for “I Don’t Want to Meditate” right now. It’s so accessible. I learned about mindfulness from a therapist over 10 years ago and it really is life changing. Of course I still have bad days and weeks, but I can also see how I’ve grown emotionally. It’s easier to let things go and not get upset or bogged down sometimes. This app helps!! I can’t recommend it enough.

    👉WOW! I AM NOT THE ONLY USER WHO HATES THE ENFORCED "CHECK-IN PAGE👈 I am one of the top users—the app doesn't even have milestones for the amount of consistency and milestones I've reached. I am grateful to Dan Harris for creating this and really sad to hear that he split with the co-founders due to creative and financial differences 💔 I have complained to support over the past year about the invasive "check-in" page and they had at least changed it to opt-out—but nope, not anymore! I guess maybe they are using it to collect health & wellness data of users 🤔. I emailed them to ask them to return the "Skip" option and they said they hadn't removed it. I am an experienced Beta tester for apps with 20 years' experience. I realize that it's popular to add check-ins make the user feel "personalized" but this number of complaints? Nope. Cancelling my subscription and following Dan Harris over to "10% Happier With Dan Harris"

    I’ve been using Happier for about three years—not constantly, and that’s part of the point. Life happens. What I’ve learned through the app is that you can always begin again, without guilt or pressure. What keeps me coming back is the variety: different types of sessions, realistic lengths, and challenges that support the habit instead of punishing inconsistency. It meets you where you are. The teachers are a real differentiatorclear, thoughtful, and human. You feel guided, not talked down to. Everything feels intentional and well-crafted. Is it worth the price? Yes. You’re paying for quality, depth, and an approach that respects real life, not perfection.

    Through listening to Dan Harris’s podcast, I recently discovered he parted ways with this “Happier Meditation” (previously 10% Happier) app in 2024. Hence the name change. I could be wrong, but it seems that this app continues to regurgitate his content and profit off of his success. I hope I’m wrong. In any case, If you want the real deal and more than just the ghost of Dan Harris, download and try “10% with Dan Harris.”

    avoid this one. It leads you through 10 time wasting minutes of happy happy, joy, joy, and then at the very end. Says, oh wait! You gotta give us 99 bucks. what a bummer.
