They only care about money. I get it, but doesn’t make me Feel good about them as a whole. I was diagnosed with cancer 3 years ago, and recently went through a hospitalization that gave me a grim prognosis of 6 months. I have a bike…. Had planned on doing a “last road trip”… which I had started, but because of an issue with my insurance had me change meds, and essentially I was told I couldn’t ride anymore. When I was getting ready to leave I figured I had 6 months. So I bought the year long license. To no fault of mine or their own, things changed hard… and for the worst. Now I am writing this review from hospice, on an off night that I just can’t sleep from the pain associated with the stupid disease I’ve been trying to fight for what feels like too long. I purchased the license 11/20/2025, and requested the refund just past the 30 day mark. Explaining the circumstances and hoping that they would show some compassion or understanding. To which I was met with… your problems are exactly that…. They’re YOUR problems, so no, we are going to keep your money. I would have been happy even paying for a month of the subscription and refund of the balance…. But, greed will always prevail… and obviously… that’s why we are here today. The app works, and I have respect for it. It mapped out a couple really good rides that I will be able to cherish in the memory banks… and I have lots of great things to say about this app, but, it all gets hindered on a company’s values…. More specifically, REVER’s company values of money over customers. I had to give up the one thing that made me feel human… to become a patient. And that has been at the core of my recent decline. With medical costs rising, I can barely afford to keep my life going. And that has been a struggle. $40 covers 1 of the 12 medications I have for my palliative care. I’m now on a fixed income… I don’t know how I am going to make this work, but… it’s just one more thing I get to keep on the list which grows every week. Had to sell my bike because I can’t keep making payments on it… still pay for my insurance because I’ve had it long enough that I have money invested for the life insurance policy that’s tied with my coverage… one of many problems… I asked for compassion and understanding… they just didn’t want to see it that way…. As a result, this is how I feel, and for those who still stay with smaller companies because of the values they show over the profit they make…. If you are one of these people, I will recommend to stay far away from these people. REVER is not in line to see you as a person, as you are a dollar sign. Hope other “like minded” people see this… and can steer towards a different app…. Wish I had a name to suggest… but, keep up searching. Such a sad truth for an app that really is good. (Yes, the app is good…. Their values are human made brownie batter)

Burns battery, in app purchases are expensive, and there are some weird UI glitches
  • No mute voice option

There is no mute option, so rever just interrupts my music
  • 33% Subscription Increase? No thanks

I’ve been using this app for three years. It has it uses and its frustrating quirks. I just learned that the subscription fee is increasing by 33%. At $30 a year I put up with the shortcomings in order to support the continued development of a promising App. Unfortunately, the features and stability have not improved enough to justify the new annual fee of $40. I’m planning to switch to onX when my REVER subscription expires in November.

This app has been nothing but issues since day one. I can plan a route, go through the entire process, and set it up, sometimes spending 20 or 30 minutes on custom routes, only for the app to crash halfway through, causing me to lose everything and start over. This has happened multiple times. The only reason I chose this app was because it had a CarPlay option. My bike has a CarPlay screen that I use for setting up Cruz’s. Overall, the app has only caused frustration. It provides zero updates on road closures or bridge closings. The app will keep trying to reroute you back to a road that’s closed. And if you select 'alternate route,' it always comes back with no alternatives. It’s unfortunate. People are forced to pay for something before trying it. This is one of those cases.
  • Needs to integrate with CarPlay better

Needs to integrate between the app and CarPlay better. Also loading BDR GPX files doesn’t always work well either.

    So far, so good.
  • Great, when it works

This app could be great, but it needs to become reliable. I’ve had it fail to generate maps for no apparent reason. An hour earlier it worked then nothing but a useless pop up telling me there was an error. It doesn’t matter what features you add if your core functionality isn’t reliable.
  • Pro doesn’t work

Most of the pro features don’t work. Just use the free version. Then use google maps for the rest
