  • Great quality and pays artists more

I’ve been using Qobuz for over a year. I got it because I’m picky about sound quality (for studio rat, current home-studio hobbyist). The app works great on Mac, iPhone, and iPad, amd the sound quality is up to studio standard. And I love that they pay higher royalty rates to artists.
  • The first app I cared enough to actually review

I feel like the developer’s investment into the sound quality really makes a difference. The sound is smoother and not quite as hollow as on the “top 3 popular apps”. I just wish the search was more precise- often times even when I type in the name of the song and the artist, it doesn’t always pop off as the first choice, overshadowed by more popular titles that are however not an exact match. I also wish that if you typed the name of the song that was already in your library, the app would pull it up as the first choice even in the discovery mode. The overall performance has really improved over the last year, so please polish the search and this app will be perfect. Amazing job, overall!
  • Web version is amazing, app needs work.

The app buffers constantly on WiFi or cellular, have not been able to figure out why. It’ll even do this if I turn the cache from 10GB to 50GB, but it did help a little. Downloaded music is much better of course, but it defeats the point if I can’t stream any music. With that being said, the web version doesn’t do that at all so I’m guessing the app just needs some work? Like the web version is pretty amazing. Use that!
  • Great service, app could use some work

I love Quboz! I only have a few minor issues with it. The first being the catalog is not as expansive as I’d like. I have a lot of indie artists I love that aren’t on the platform at all which is a major bummer for me. The other issue is the queue. Quboz has the weirdest queue I’ve ever had to use and I absolutely hate it. If I play a song off an album, just the song, it adds the entire album to the queue. Which would be great if I wanted to listen to the whole album through. Unfortunately, there are only a handful of albums I like listening to all the way through. If you’ve added a song to your queue after you play a song off an album, the song you just queued won’t play until the album has finished. There’s also no easy way to clear said queue without it stopping the song you’re listening to. Sometimes when you add things to a queue, it won’t always play the next song. This is an area that needs a fair bit of improvement. Other than that, the app is great and works well. I like the service but I am very sad to see such a small selection of current indie artists. All in all would recommend, though.
  • Thanks for fixing the search lag 🙂

You have the music of Dave Valentin but you don’t have the RED SUN album. May I request the RED SUN album by Dave Valentine in High Resolution? Greatly appreciated, Dr. Castain

Good: - music quality - good App Store privacy checklist. - the app developers seem to care about improving their product. - I like that you can expand a album cover to full screen. - Music catalog size is acceptable, more niche songs are often missing, but the app developers added a “missing song?” feedback button to help with that. Bad: - lots of bugs (shuffle turns off after restarting app, song skip button lags by 3+ seconds). - no low quality streaming options, I would love to see lower kbps mp3 options to save on mobile data. - want to remove the current song playing from your playlist? No such option in the “now playing” menu, you have to find it manually in the playlist. Cleaning playlists is an absolute chore on this app. - No user based playlists - no crossfade feature - Catalogues are all over the place, super star artists have songs by complete strangers on their page just because their names are similar. Overall I will continue to use this app, but the cons mentioned above made me leave 3 stars. I look forward to what the developers have planned for the future, maybe my rating will change.
  • Really great music app I would say it’s better than Spotify but here are some things I noticed.

The search system is kind of bad and doesn’t really help with what i would call ease of search I guess. For example, there are two pretty popular songs that I searched that were not brought up on the first page of the search engine and those two examples are “Billy and Mandi” - Dc2Trill & Nino Paid and “Feel the Fire” - Peabo Bryson. Now it wasn’t hard to find these songs through a more extensive search but I do recommend that the search engine be improved spelling, artists, and even an artists’ album name more. My second issue is that there are some albums and songs that completely don’t belong to certain artists. For example, MIKE aka dj blackpower of 10k.global has certain albums from artists with similar names but those albums are not of his. And lastly, when trying to tweak your queue I would prefer that it doesn’t auto scroll up to the next song. I believe SoundCloud may have had this same issue and had it fixed. But, I feel as if though this three things were taken into account Qobuz would be even better of an app than it already is. I won’t beat down on the app as I do like the different qualities you can change the sound of your music to and the overall layout. But, those are some of my little gripes. Device: iPhone 12
  • Skip track does not work unless app is open

Have to have the app fully open for the skip track to work. This works on other music apps so I’m unsure why it’s broken here. Re: the developer update. I don’t speak Spanish. Notice this review is in English. Makes me think they don’t read these and it’s all bots responding. Downgrading review from 3 to 2 stars for that.
