    Be Careful! There is no person to talk to about customer service of the App and fees and cancellation policy are not clear. The walkers may be great, but communication with the company is not available.

    Terrible app for boarding or sitting service with a dog. The App does not allow you to chat before boarding/sitting. The owner can send instructions on how to care for the dog on the last day the service begins. From my experience, the owner wanted 6 walks a day with his dog while sitting and did not allow him to stay in his house overnight. That's $30 a night!! and 6 walks. It is absolutely incomparable with what you get and how much time you spend (4-6 hours). And also Wag cuts 40%

  • Don’t trust your dog to this app

    The first and only service I booked, the guy clearly didn’t understand how to work with dogs, and chased my dog all around the apartment trying to put the harness on him rather than crouch down and let my dog come to him. Wag support says to contact walkers before hand and let them meet the dog first but doesn’t provide any way to do that. They’re so worried that you’ll just meet with the walker and cut Wag out of the transaction that they don’t let you do what they recommend. To delete your account they require that you provide a photo of your ID to a third party for identity verification. Also they appear to be taking about 30% to 40% of what you pay.

  • Charging $1,000 for booking sitters off the app

    Here’s a new ridiculous addendum to their TOS, if owners book a sitter off the app, they will automatically charge the owner $1000 as a “finders fee” and force you to agree to this in their TOS. It also states sitters will have to pay a “finders fee” but doesn’t specify how much it is, which is even shadier. I doubt this is legal but either way it’s ridiculous enough for me to delete this junk rn, goodbye Wag!

    The user interface for this app is absolute garbage. Try using a visual representation of when you have a sitter booked, and make it possible to book multiple drop ins for the same sitter on one day simultaneously instead two completely separate bookings.

    In my area walkers are flaky and customer service is an absolute joke. I hadn’t been using the service for 6 months and had forgotten to cancel. When I noticed I canceled on my renewal date I asked for a refund and customer service was absolutely unyielding despite my constant struggles when I did use the app and my non use for 6+ months. Honest mistakes happen, I realize it’s not their when there’s a ‘contract’ but I caught it ON THE RENEWAL date and had a rough time with services before hand. I’ve never had another service do this to me and the $ was budgeted toward other things. The cancellation buttons are buried and difficult to find and customer service if you’re not trying to contact them for a walk service is difficult to get a hold of.

    The random pricing is unpredictable and extremely annoying. Every time you book a walk, the price goes up. The dog walker doesn't get paid more when the price increases. I’ve only used the app for a few week and the price of a 60-minute deluxe walk has gone from $27 to $44. I would prefer more predictable pricing. They’re really trying had to isolate their customers.

    Had a lot of trouble booking caregivers and changing times or cancelling once the app booked people I didn’t request. At one point, I had three people coming at the same time

    5 stars for our sitter -1 star for the all not having 24/7 customer service or a number that can you can call!
