Speedometer Simple is a simple speedometer that is very easy to use. This app uses phone's GPS to accurately determine your speed. Speedometer has large fonts and supports mph, km/h, and knots speed display. Optionally, city name and a compass can be shows on the screen. The app also shows the traveled distance. Average and maximum speed is displayed in an optional screen as well. Interface color can be set one of many pre-selected colors.     I was scammed into being charged $20 for this app. I agreed to a free version of this app and somehow the app forced me into a paid subscription charging me $20 that I NEVER agreed to. I tried to dispute this charge with Apple twice and they said “we reviewed your claim and your purchase doesn’t meet conditions for a refund”. Under subscriptions, it clearly shows I do not have an active subscription with this app, and I’m afraid they’ll try to charge me again in a year. Now I have to get Apple support on the phone.

    Recently, the app had a glitch where it would no longer load. Developer was very quick in responding and fixing it and it is working very well again.

    App would not display speed on a moving train. Other speedometer apps had no issues. Cancelled recurring subscription before deadline, yet was still charged $20 and Apple refuses to refund me. Total scam of an app.

    I wanted to like this app. However it reads zero most of the time. My phone obviously location data since mapping apps update location as expected. Data is spotty— maybe it must “phone home” to work.
