Description

Know what’s happening at home from wherever you are with Ring Video Doorbells, Security Cameras and Alarm systems, and Smart Lights. Ring Doorbells and Cameras can send you instant alerts when someone’s at your door or motion is detected. Keep an eye on what matters with live HD video and greet visitors with Two-Way Talk. With a Ring Home Plan subscription (or free trial), you can review, save, and share Ring videos. Ring Smart Lights let you control and schedule lighting easily. Some models can even notify you about motion nearby, and trigger other compatible Ring devices to record. Ring Alarm systems let you monitor entrances and indoor spaces, and detect certain safety hazards. Enroll in Ring Alarm Professional Monitoring* (compatible Ring Home Plan subscription required) to request dispatch of emergency responders when your Ring Alarm is triggered. Whether you’re halfway around the world or just out shopping , with Ring, you’re always home. Professional Monitoring is an add-on plan that first requires a compatible Ring subscription. Both sold separately. Service available within the U.S. (all 50 states, but not U.S. territories) and in Canada (excluding Quebec). Ring does not own its monitoring center. Smoke and carbon monoxide monitoring is not available for business or commercially zoned addresses. See Ring Alarm licenses at: ring.com/licenses. Additional fees may be required for permits, false alarms, or Alarm Verified Guard Response, depending on your local jurisdiction. What you can do with the Ring app: - Get real-time doorbell and motion alerts on your smartphone or tablet - See and speak with visitors with HD Video and Two-Way Talk - Get real-time alerts when your Alarm sensors are triggered

Hitting the app to work with the additional 2-step process is very frustrating. I asked for my phone number to send a code that never comes??
  • Performance mediocre

Looks like new update requires updating my iOS. If thats the case I will be replacing all my cameras with something else I dont need apps telling me to update my OS and apple wants do that I can get an Android device. I am tired of apps not being backward compatible requiring updates is a scam. Pulling up live video should be a priority and it takes so long to load the live video its a waste of time to have the system. The system at one point was amazing and the video review was amazing too. Recent updates seem to have slowed that all down. Maybe have your developers by some ring cameras and update their apps on their phones to beta test before you force them on the rest of us.
  • Motion & Notification Errors

I learned last month that my neighbor was a creeper. I was able to go back and find video of it. Since, I am not getting notifications, or they are greatly delayed in reciept it’s not recording or it edits what it does record… I don’t know when deliveries are occurring in real time without the company notifying me. Essentially the ring device/software is not working. This device was purchased for safety and I feel more vulnerable than ever. Please update the app so I can see who is creeping on my property, visiting and when packages are being delivered. I travel and this is how I manage my home.

Misses a lot of events and only records half of the event when there’s a person in front, but it does record cars passing by fully.

Very tired of floodlight cameras going offline. Trouble shooting says to reset the camera… they are at the rooftop of my house. One stayed off for 3-4 mos then came back on randomly like it was never off. Annoying as all get out. Right now, I have two offline. Contemplating all new equipment with another system. Great when they work.

I paid for the ring doorbell, I should not have to pay to operate it! I’ve been using ring for two or three years and was always able to switch from being at home to away. Now I have to open an account in order to have access to be able to switch between whether I am home or away. I’ll be looking to get rid of Ring for an alternative.
