    Amazing app!! Helped me reconnect w a bestie from 20+ years ago, we talk everyday like no time has passed. It’s beautiful. AND, I can’t interrupt her, but I do take notes lol

  • Big Price Increase, Ongoing Notification and Sync Issues

    I understand that prices sometimes need to increase, but this was roughly a 33 percent increase. It’s especially frustrating when core bugs continue to be an issue. Notifications have been unreliable for a while. I often get notified after someone finishes recording instead of when they start. Other times I don’t get notified at all and only discover multiple missed videos when I open the app. This happens consistently on a stable home Wi-Fi connection, even testing when multiple people are using Marco Polo on the same network, so it doesn’t appear to be a Wi-Fi speed issue. There are also transcript problems. Sometimes a transcript appears in the phone notification, but when I open the app it says the transcript isn’t available. I’ve also had several cases where I watch a video completely, leave the app, and then get a notification shortly after saying I have a new Polo. It turns out to be the same video I already watched. For a communication app at this price point, reliability like this really matters.

    I absolutely loved Marco Polo. It’s changed in my life and how I can keep in touch with my best friends who live well far away. That’s why it gets more than one star. I was kind of thrown off by the fact that they increased their annual plus membership price by so much, but was willing to pay it because I use it every day. After paying, days later, my scratchpad stopped working. For me, and the way that my friends and I use Marco Polo, it is impossible to functionally use it without the scratchpad. I reached out to support and initially got no reply. I followed up because I got no reply only for them to tell me that they were “working on it” and would update me. That was two weeks ago and I haven’t heard anything and it’s still not working. Really disappointed in the customer support. Kind of feel like they stole my $160 for nothing. Really disappointing. Don’t get Marco Polo plus. Looking for an alternative platforms for me and my friends to move to

    My notes will not work and my app keeps kicking me out in the middle of watching and recording videos I paid for the plus plan and now I can’t even use the notes which is why I got it

    This is the only app I have that regularly crashes. It seems to work fine for a while then I get messages saying “service has been interrupted” even when I haven’t lost cell coverage. It’s a great concept and such a useful tool, I just wish someone would come along and build it better.

    I love using Marco Polo and have used it for years. It helps me stay in contact with my family in the other state. It would be awesome. If y’all could remove the pop-ups once we say we do not want to upgrade to a plan. It’s actually quite annoying a lot of times additionally, we don’t need all the notifications about deleting the polos.
