Google Calendar: Get Organized

fav calendar and planning platform and i’ve tried a bunch. super easy user interface, love the customization, and just a really good simple layout i love it. also good integrations for adding useful and relevant things (links, zoom calls, locations, documents, etc) to your events. just wish they would better incorporate a time to leave feature like on apple’s iCalendar platform

Love Google Calendar- the ability to color coordinate events and tasks and the ability to see a week, a day, or the whole month is perfect. 10/10 recommend. My only complaint is this- recently as I have been adding new events to my calendar, it will switch my time zone to the UK (I live in the US) every time I try to correct it, the app switches it back. Please get this bug fixed! I’ve missed/been late to appointments and meetings because it keeps changing the time zone. 😅🫠

Google Calendar is a very convenient tool to use when managing your day to day life, especially with another person. I do recommend it over the default calendar app, but the only dispute I have with it is that there’s a constant bug that sets your time zone to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), which is located within the UK. I’ve seen that many other people online have dealt with a similar problem and have found no real solution besides changing it manually. Unless you live in this area, you run the risk of finding out last minute that you the app has switched the time of an appointment in your calendar without notifying you. As someone who has health issues and schedules doctor visits constantly, and often times in advance, it’s frustrating to catch these thing last minute and have to battle with the app for it to stay corrected. It seems this bug does not affect all users, as the other person in my calendar does not experience this and all settings within the app and my phone itself are set to the correct time zone. Unfortunately for me it simply becomes aggravating after a while. Google I pray you fix this bug for the sake of my sanity. Thank you.

It’s easy to create events and tasks, easy to invite others to a calendar event, set notifications, etc…. My only complaint is that the day doesn’t change on the widget/icon like it does in the Apple Calendar program. Sometimes I just want to know the date without having to open the app.

I upgraded my phone and google cal won’t sync iCal even after uninstalling and reinstalling. So. Annoying

When I set an appointment and I have to go back and make a change this stupid app changes the time zone to Greenwich time zone and I’m on the East Coast in the USA! I use this for my business but at the end of the year this app is getting deleted! Google calendar is trash! Especially when it sets its own time zone and I have to completely delete the appointment which is frustrating especially when you have a customer on the phone and having them repeat the information all over again! Deleting this trashy app end of this year! I’m done! No help even when I report the problem! I’m done with this stupid app! Going to apple calendar! 1 star is way to much!!!!! Should be a negative-5 in my opinion!!!

Still getting the shadows that are part of the plus button menu system with a regular calendar view. This is really annoying! The shadows mixed with regular calendar colors and make the calendar look very congested.

I just had all of yesterday’s notifications pop up. Not helpful.

There should be a way to remove certain holidays. It’s also annoying that I have to keep the calendar app from apple to have a quick reference for the date. The shouldn’t always have 31 on it should be the actual date. More pics for occasions are needed. And we should be able to pick certain themes for our calendar and more customization options. Also needs more colors to choose from to different recurring items don’t end up with the same color.

The ONLY thing that would make this app better is if the tile actually showed “today’s date” instead of always saying “31”. That would make it the BEST EVER. Otherwise, it’s great!
