  • A great way to stay "tuned in"

Being a former Michigander, I still follow the Detroit sports teams and the Free Press gives me the most up-to-date information on the local teams. I live in Las Vegas now, and the on-line version of the paper is my link to being back "home" in Michigan.
  • Best reading for Michigan sports.

  • Lotto numbers being published every night is not “breaking news”

I have “breaking news” notifications turned on because I want to be informed if a big local story happens. Mega Millions numbers being published every night is not breaking news! Please stop notifying me that the lotto numbers are available.
  • Go back to the original Print Edition

Please go back to the original FreePress/Print app. It was so much better than this. I read the paper everyday online and print some of the puzzles. This app does not allow me to print anything. It also does not fit the page correctly and what’s with the adds popping up? I pay for this.
  • Pop-up Ads on page one and Sports page one

The app added these pop-ups recently which GREATLY irritate me. Touching the app used to just bring up the newspaper directly, and without ads.
  • No subscription benefits: ads on ads

If you hate ads and clickbait pseudoscience, save yourself, do NOT download. I’m not even exaggerating when I say there is more spam than journalism on here.
  • Only works for Freep

The Universal function that’s supposed to give you access to the other Gannet papers is not working. You can not see the current daily of those papers. If you get any they are older editions. Wasn’t this way before last update.
  • A trip home

Getting the FP every day is like taking a quick trip back home. Reading about familiar places, columnists you enjoy and welcomed changes taking place.
  • Detroit Free Press eNewspaper

This app is horrible! Half the time can’t access the eNewspaper. When on the site the page frequently minimizes and always takes a couple steps to restore. Old app was so much more user friendly. Very disappointing.
