Description

High standards? Keep them that way. The League is a selective dating app offering its members a curated “Batch” of potentials each day, rather than an unlimited stream of profiles. Designed for motivated daters who would rather be single than settle, The League strongly believes that 3 quality matches are better than 100 bad ones. So say goodbye to endless swiping and keep those standards sky-high— because while your mother might call you picky, we call you self-aware. The League uses an application process to ensure a well-balanced, highly engaged community of people with real motivation to find a meaningful long-term relationship. You can use The League for free or upgrade to a subscription to unlock additional benefits. Subscribers see more profiles each day, and thus, enjoy 40% more matches on average. Subscription Details: Payment will be charged to Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Rife with fraudulent profiles and the men are super predatory. Be careful Ladies.

I purchased premium for this app despite being significantly overpriced. None of the additional features worked on the app after the purchase. I immediately reached out to the customer support team to let them know about the issue, and provided pictures of my account confirming that there was an issue. They refused to fix my account or issue a refund. They were even quite obnoxious during the conversation, then proceeded to ignore me. I think they were hoping I’d just go away (lol). Leaving me without other options, I filed a complaint with Apple. Apple independently reviewed the situation, and immediately issued me a refund. DONT TRUST THIS APP. Thanks Apple!

I figured I would give this app a try as I like the idea of ambitious people dating with intention. I tried my first week and saw many of the same people I saw on other apps only much fewer options. Which I do think is a good idea because sometimes the abundance of options can give us a false sense that there is more out there than actually is. It definitely helped me approach the dating app with a little more purpose and intention. The format was a little confusing, and I wasn’t sure if I was liking someone and they would see it as it offers an upgrade to a “power move” as soon as you submit a like. Letting you know they may not see your “like” unless you give a power move. ?? Part of the cost of $100 a week is having a private concierge who can help answer your questions and give you feedback. I asked my concierge for clarity on this and never heard back. This was definitely a bot who sent me pre-written messages and didn’t answer any of my specific questions. Normally, I would just let this go but after $100, I figured I’m going ask for my money back when I didn’t get something as simple as an answer to a basic question. I let the customer service know and they apologized and offered me a free second week instead of a refund. I submitted another question to the “ concierge” and once again never heard back. I received my “weekly batch” of matches from people out of state or who were outside of my age range… this also matters since you only get a certain amount of matches per week in spite of being able to specifically filter the type of matches you want. I also received several people who were obviously scammers… another thing I would think would be weeded out from an app that supposedly has an application process/wait list/high entry fees. Probably half of the guys I matched with were scams. The overall app feels like an over promised and under deliver. Good concept, but didn’t really execute the vision. After my second week, I let the League know that the issue had not been resolved and asked for a refund and they declined without any further explanation.

Another app that became a sellout to the Match(.com) Group. The League is certainly not worth the heavy price tag and overhyped concierge service. I’ve dated a very famous actress who I matched with on bumble, political figures, too many news anchors or weather girls, wealthy entrepreneurs, and more... the point, you don’t need to fork out the money this app is asking, thinking it’s a paved way to a higher social class for dating. This app wants to be more intentional, and target high-net singles looking to date, but it’s nothing short of a major snooze fest instead (and a greedy one at that). Stick with the normal suite of dating apps. We all dislike them… I get it. Best of luck dating.
  • Unless you pay for full premium you will not meet anyone.

Base on the adds I was expecting high quality app which will enable meeting ambitious people that will have potential to be a match. App is not intuitive, it does changes my preferences, suggesting people that are completely out of my age expectation, location and off of other preferences. Big disappointment.

I’m not sure it is a bot acct “liking” me, but not once after someone has liked me and I reach out and say ‘hi’ has any human responded. The most bizarre dating app. Not worth the money!!!

Really annoying how every time I go on this app it resets to the standard filters and shows me people way outside the age range I am interested in, and also it does not have my city or county or any mile range available to set for viewing people. I’m not interested in people who live over an hour away from me or who are 10 years older than I am…
  • Self-important app

There’s something about this app that just screams “you’re so lucky to have us, now pay up.” I’m the customer, I don’t need you lol. People who buy into that type of business are not who I want to date. Otherwise, I actually really like the concept. Too bad.
