    Want to make a Shorts thumbnail? Can’t do it here. Want to set a few advanced properties of the video? Your mileage may vary. Copying a URL doesn’t always work. The app needs more care and attention to detail, and above all else, don’t force me to switch over to the YouTube app if a feature is missing.

  • No Custom Thumbnail upload option for Shorts

    The one thing that makes people click on a video is the thumbnail image. YouTube does not allow uploading a custom thumbnail image. The app technically allows us to set a custom thumbnail by selecting a scene from the video, but only during the upload process, not after the fact, and it’s not easy to figure out. This is all absolutely terrible for serious creators. I don’t want AI to decide what the best thumbnail for my video is. It picks absolutely terrible thumbnails for my educational videos. Please make it possible to upload a custom thumbnail image in addition to a tab that says ‘upload or select a thumbnail’ to make it easy to find and do.

    App is decent as per management of a channel. Haven’t tried the mobile editor yet, the browser editor doesn’t feel like the best. The rating and review it’s because the app doesn’t let one clear the cache. Either make the app to daily clean the garbage or let the user do it at will which would be most preferably. Then we can focus on other stuff.

    For the largest publish company it's surprising how bad this software is and doesn't have in app editing tools and quick video access, stickers, etc. This is what happens when the team is run by indians

    It’s really annoying that you can’t really view your channel on there. Plus, the app is really almost useless because most of the features on there, you can use on the actual YouTube app. I gave it 4 stars because it could improve a lot better.
