    For no perceivable reason, this app consistently knocks down the volume by 90%, causing full volume to be barely audible.

    Very sad. Before it got reorganized (aka disorganized) a few years ago, Overcast was the best podcast app. I wish they'd go back to the previous version. The organization of the current app makes 0 sense. If I follow a new podcast, there is no way to locate it again without just remembering the name of the podcast. Or if you're lucky it might randomly show up in the random cards window at the top of your app that doesn't have a clear rhyme or reason. Everything is categorized as "smart" but the actual categories don't sort by common sense logic. If the app is based on smart playlists, shouldn't the first couple options be 1. things I downloaded, labeled as such, and 2. things I follow, labeled as such? They also made it confusing to navigate to info about the podcast while listening. While I think all these features might exist in the app, it is no longer remotely intuitive. Every basic function that used to be visible and labeled is now buried, not labeled, or behind 6+ clicks through a labyrinth of more unlabeled functions.

    This app used to work great, but since updating I can no longer download podcasts reliably (auto or manual). Wish I could roll it back to a previous version.

    Overall, my preferred app for listening to podcasts. Just need a filter to show only “unplayed” episodes when going through a long list of episodes.

    Used to work fine, suddenly stopping after 30 seconds. Now it’s a “pressing the play button simulator” absolutely 100% doesn’t work

    Great podcast app. I love the variable speed playback and auto smart speed which speeds up gaps. The app rewrite kind of broke the app for a while, but thankfully it’s now better than the old version. The Apple Watch support is now finally better too with my Ultra 2 watch actually background Dow loading most of the time. It’s still not perfect, but way better than it was.

    App gets worse with eachupdate. The search is awful. I want to click on a searched episode and be taken to it in the episode list. Why get rid of features
