  • Misleading subscriptions and limited cancellation

This was so confusing! I thought I was getting a 7 day trial, but didn’t see that I was forgoing the trial with the hot summer discount instantly making an exorbitant purchase that I can’t seem to get a refund on. I also cancel subscriptions so as not to auto renew as I have adhd and am forgetful, it took away my subscription services even though I paid and it expires in a year. Hate to compare myself to a child, but what if a child had done this. I’m just frustrated and out a $120 for an app I didn’t need or want. I just wanted to $2 sheet music. After digging a whole bunch and then getting logged into the website via app or email, I saw that I got a learning plan meaning I can watch their videos, for $120! I’m sure they are great, but not that I can afford $120 great, I’d watch YouTube. It’s normally $180!! On top of that, they snuck in a “free trial” for pro that I could only see on their website sneakily to renew for like $40 in a few days. Plus those features were not present in the app. Just an all around terrible experience. I’m out $120 that will affect my whole family. Unfortunately Apple hasn’t been supportive either and denied refund. Someone having a bad day!

‘Free App’ that immediately forces a subscription down your throat, to which I for some reason fell for. Because right after, if you try searching for a song, good luck finding one that isn’t going to cost even more money 🥲 save your time and money! Try SimplyPiano instead 😱🤷🏼‍♂️

  • Great but there’s a couple strange things

Overall this is a very great and useful app. It is cool to see transcriptions and original songs done so well. However there are some strange things that don’t make sense. The app is more broken than the website?!!?!?! This doesn’t make any sense at all and I don’t understand why you would put more work into a website instead of the actual app itself. The marching percussion does not sound right in the app. It works perfectly fine on the website (why is the website better?!?!?!!!!??).The snare sounds like bongos and a couple other random things, and the tenors and bass drums are just random noises(??). For some reason this only happens on some scores and not all of them. It’s not just the marching percussion?!?? I’ve found scores where other percussion instruments sound completely goofy. I found a score where the snare drums sounds like a marimba playing c3 and one where some other percussion instrument was also playing c3. Why does this only happen on some scores?? Pitch bends are completely broken for some reason and do nothing. They used to work but now they don’t for some reason that I don’t know. Grace notes do not work like how they should in real life. They play way before they should and just seem like an actual note and not a grace note. Hopefully this helps you guys!
  • Free trial not so free

The app seems good. I wouldn’t need as much to justify paying the price of the subscription. So I used only the trial, cancelled the subscription, but they renewed my subscription on their website anyway. After arguing with them, they gave me options to pay less, partial refund, none of them a full refund. I had to prove I had cancelled and complain until I got the full refund. Well… If you try it, just remember to keep all your subscriptions and cancellations emails
  • Predatory Unsubscribe Process

I don’t care what your app is or how good it is, if the unsubscribe process is purposefully designed to make it difficult to unsubscribe which I believe this was I want NOTHING to do with any product you every create or are associated with.
  • Useful but buggy

MuseScore is a good source for sheet music but the app has numerous bugs that drive me bonkers. - The app often takes a minute or more to load and then it forgets that I am already subscriber and tries to make me sign up again for no reason. Works fine after relaunching. - The state of the score cursor toggle button is broken. The toggle shows disabled but the cursor is visible anyhow. Tapping the button changes the toggle state and leaves the cursor visible. Tapping the button again finally makes the cursor go away. And heck, I hate that cursor and never want to see it anyway. - Annoying banner ads and interstitials to upgrade to Pro with nonsense 75% limited time offers. Just looks bad. If I wanted Pro I would have chosen that instead of the standard package. Leave me alone! - There’s no way to change the scale of the score and have it reflow the notation to fit already it’s clearly capable of doing that when switching to landscape mode. - Search functions mysteriously time out and say nothing is there instead of trying again or being honest about the fact a transient error occurred behind the scenes. - It never remembers my instrument preferences so I have to navigate through the extensive list of filters time and again to pick exactly the same thing I always pick. Most of these problems feel very obvious and easy to fix but they’ve been there for ages. It’s a good thing I don’t use MuseScore for performance because it’s just too unreliable.
