OneNote is truly fabulous. A gamechanger. I only wish it worked reliably. As good as it is, I am constantly plagued by it suddenly deciding that I need to login again - but the login process doesn’t work. Then every time I open it, it asks me to login (which doesn’t work) and then every single notebook asks me to sign in, which necessitates me dismissing a dialog box 47 times. I’m not an idiot. I know how to reset passwords and sign into things. But this has become an absolute nightmare of resetting passwords, logging in, having it work for a short period of time, then the whole thing starting again. Enough to make me scream. How can a trillion dollar company make such GARBAGE???? Seriously WTF. Oh, and the latest - suddenly screenshots don’t work at all. Been googling that for days. Cannot add a screenshot through the system, and this is now a known issue that’s been going on years. Just all of the sudden, screenshots don’t work. FFS!!!!

I feel if there were more microsoft word editing features it would be a little bit more well suited for school. however still love the product and provided originazation.

I’ve asked repeatedly for the ability to change the date / time stamp on the MacOS version. This is available on the Windows version. Why can’t this be provided?! Very disappointing when month after month we only get bug fixes and no new features. This seems like an easy add.
  • The Potential is there

I keep trying to use OneNote and I keep seeing the potential. It’s almost always cut short for some reason. The tags can’t sync is an example. How it writes is another. It looks so promising as my one-stop-shop for notes, and work projects and then doesn’t land.
  • The Best Virtual Notebook

I have tried a variety of virtual notebooks which are good, but are so limited. OneNote has a variety of tools that make it perfect for people who love to do regular handwriting in paper notebooks. I use OneNote on my computer & iPad as well as my iPhone. I love it cause I can use it on all my devices and they are synced so all updates can be seen across devices. I also love to use it on my iPad because I can use my Apple Pencil to handwrite my notes, use highlighters, change font style, color and size. I can create a notebook and have subcategories in that one notebook. It was awesome when I was in school and I had one subject, but different classes. It is fabulous for organization. I can’t say enough about OneNote. Even this review really doesn’t do it justice. I even use it for when I teach Spanish (to my Spanish Class), when I teach Sunday School or Bible Study. It’s just perfect for me and I think it will be perfect for you too. Download it now, you won’t regret it!
  • Beautiful app but cannot regain my locked sections.

Yes, yes I know I should have always known my passwords. But now that I don’t, how will I get access to my older notes? :( I wish there was a double authentication or something to get back in.

Somehow OneNote signed me in under a vendor account I have instead of my office365 account. I logged out of that account and now all of my OneNote notebooks are lost. There appears to be no way to get them back. Even when I log in using my vendor account for that customer.

Files do not automatically sync across devices and how to do a manual sync is not obvious or not available

I don’t usually like reviews, but I have to say, this is one of my favorite apps. I lead a complicated life, so being able to access my file cabinet from my computer, my phone, and my iPad. . . is amazing.
