  • Wind direction issues

    The wind direction function within the app intermittently loads the wrong wind data. I am checking the wind direction from multiple weather apps and the wind direction in the weather section of the app and 1/2 the time it is correct and 1/2 the time it is completely wrong. The app also fails to show the full 24 hour wind directions at times.

    Love the app, but for some reason the weather part shows the correct wind direction while the map overlay wind will be different and wrong. Please fix.

    This app used to be nearly perfect. But since it changed format it’s just aggravating: 1. Constantly getting interrupted trying to get me to upgrade. Annoying!!!😡 2. If I touch ANYWHERE REMOTELY CLOSE to the + marker button, then you have to deal with that. 3. Periodically get black screen for maps. My hunt club has shared mapping, so I have to use this app. If that wasn’t the case, I’d delete it.

    I have been using this app for a long time it’s 2025 and I have the pro subscription, but it doesn’t work I can’t even see the property map anymore, thank you for your time.

    This app was great for years. But now, it glitches, my location doesn’t show up, map items don’t save, etc. When I don’t have great service, adding icons is almost impossible, and they don’t appear after saved. This will be my last year paying for the app. I do not plan to renew once this membership expires.

    Like this product better than OnX. Have had an issue with the app and customer service resolved it for me. They were good with communication.

    I have notified them several times over several months of an error on their part. It still shows wrong. Apparently they don’t care about the accuracy of information they ask people to pay for.

  • Completely unreliable during hunting season

    I've been using Hunterstand for years and for the most part have liked it, but I've noticed every year during hunting season. This year it started switching map areas on you frequently so that you're in a completely different managed area that you saved. Originally we chose this over some of the competitors because you could see the location of your friends however it really doesn't work and you have to leave the main area in order to use that feature. It says that hunters use this, but it really doesn't act like it. Simple things like not being able to choose the default color for different icons. If I mark a scrape, rub, stands, etc, I want it to set the default color. Right now I have to manually change the color when I add. I download areas so that when I hit areas without cell phone service, I'll have the maps, however that does not seem to work most of the time. It looks like I'll be changing to a different platform this coming year because hunt stand has proven itself to be consistently unreliable.

    I have been a paid user of this app for a good 5+ years and it was fantastic the first few years. Once there was another paid tier “whitetail” it started going downhill. Now it doesn’t even function at all really, black screens instead of maps, property lines won’t show, etc…. Mapbox whatever that is is garbage. Yall need to roll this back to the 2020 version and stop adding all the junk that made this unusable.
