I use it to remote from an iPad to my Windows device. It’s a total rock star!

The fact that you’ve locked remote desktop behind the Pro version of windows is ridiculous at best especially considering the remote feature is unlocked for windows assistants..
  • Lacking vision proper pro support

Nice start but severely limited on Vision Pro. It’s not nearly to the level of apple’s virtual display for Mac’s. It needs much higher resolution support. I know it could do it because it looks great if I run normal windows app on my MacBook then connect virtual display and mirror the Mac with RDP full screen. It should be able to work that way natively without needing the MacBook in the middle.
  • VRDP/RDP issues

Seems to be the windows app no longer supports rdp to a windows or Linux machine guest in Virtual box. Example: I have a windows host On that machine is virtual box Activate remote display and assign a port Use this app to rdp/vrdp to said port/machine Keyboard/touch keyboard does not pass key presses to virtual machine, win/linux Example 2: Windows host On that machine is virtual box Installed a windows 10/11 guest machine Keyboard/touch keyboard not passing when you rdp to host and try to interact with guest. It used to work perfectly, now I am sad it doesn’t.

Name is too vague , go back to old name or a new name instead.
  • No keyboard presented

Hard to log in anywhere if the software won't present me with an onscreen keyboard. I cant fill in the password because it doesn't give any way to do that. Useless.
  • This brings everything full circle!

The fact that I can have multiple connections from multiple devices is awesome. Microsoft got this one right. Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows Remote PC, or old fashioned RDP — excellent. YOU can also access apps remotely. A must have for developers and remote users - especially on iPad . A physical keyboard is recommended for the best most seamless experience.
  • limitation in the iPhone version

limitation in the iPhone version of Microsoft Remote Desktop. When connecting a Bluetooth or wired mouse, and a monitor through a dock - the app ignores pointer input and forces touch emulation instead. On my iPad, the same setup (dock + mouse + keyboard) functions perfectly - the cursor behaves like it does on a desktop. On iPhone, the pointer never engages, which makes the app unusable with external displays and accessories. The hardware clearly supports this input path, and it would make Remote Desktop far more usable on iPhone for people who dock their phones or use them as portable workstations. Could your team look into enabling full mouse behavior, or at least confirm whether this is an intentional iOS limitation? Appreciate your time and any guidance on upcoming support for this feature.
  • Can’t use with external display

If I could give it 0 stars I would. You can not use this app with an external display without it taking over both the display and the ipad screen. It’s a garbage app as a result and it the reason I am returning my iPad Pro I got today. Most professionals using this app are going to want to use the IPad with an external display. Also, this has worked with this app in the past. Just horrible software.
