The nest app is way better. Now the newer cameras won’t work on nest. You have to use this app. I would rather buy all new products with another company than use this app. Please allow us to use the nest app, it is way better.

Of all my experience with home security platforms, I have never had the kind of satisfaction and efficiency that I have seen with Google Home. I would say that their dedication to detail is second to none and their efforts on behalf of the consumer constituency have made amazing differences for all of those subscribers.

I used to have no issues with my Google home mini. Now it’s impossible to set up. I have 4 solid white lights blinking on the front, I’ve reset the home 5 times and set it up again. Every time I try to talk to it I get the response “you’re Google home isn’t set up yet”. There is a thread on the Google website with over 400 responses to the same issue and it hasn’t been fixed. Awful customer support and a very frustrating problem.

Where did the family bell option go? We don’t get the alarms and nowhere to be found on the app options. What am I missing? Update stinks without the family bell option!!
  • Can’t connect thermostat in new apartment

This app seems terrible so far. I moved into a new rental apartment that already has Nest thermostat installed. The only way to connect the device to this app is to scan a QR code which I don’t have or to remove the thermostat from the wall to see a six digit code on the back of the device. I don’t want to remove the thermostat from the wall - I’m pretty sure the property management company doesn’t want that - it’s on there pretty securely. So I guess managing the Nest thermostat with this app is pretty much useless for anyone who moves somewhere where it’s already installed.
  • Absolutely glitching gadgets

After couple of years of using Googles Home gadgets I still trying to understand the way they work. Speakers - your Mac literally wouldn’t see them in Bluetooth list. And, you can buy as many as you can speakers from Google, link them on one sound system, but remember, you won’t be able to play the music from your iPhone/iPad/Mac on all of this speakers, but just only on one of them, which is stupid. Google Nest Hub - extremely slow “tablet”, after iPad you will feel seek of how slow this screen works. Don’t understand how it’s even possible to make such primitive tablets this time. Music in general - even after linking your Apple Music account you won’t be able to see the app on your Google Nest Hub, only the way you can play your music from Apple Music it’s just ask Hey Google… but no way to choose the album, playlist etc from your Apple Music using screen. So, typical Google - stupid, slow-working gadgets which are working in absolutely non-logical and not user-friendly way. Al I want to do - just grab all this Google Home gadgets scrap and bring it to the Googles front door. Just commit suicide from this sphere, and stop torturing people with your dumb illogical service and extremely glitching gadgets.

Was working great until the most recent update. It seems to have completely dropped my flood light from google home and now I can’t actuate the flood light from my phone. May not seem like a big deal to some but when you need it’s status or turned on from inside it’s kind of a big deal.
  • Price increase

I’m leaving a one star review only because of the price increase. I’ve used these services for 5+ years and now have multiple cameras and equipment so I’m pretty invested. I do like the product but the subscription changing for existing customers is absurd. Especially for those of us that pay the annual amount upfront and now increasing the price from 120/yr to 150/yr for the exact some stuff is terrible. Unless you change this decision I will invest my money with a different company. This is why inflation is happening. One gets greedy they all get greedy.
