AI does the same thing. It would be ok if it was maybe 49 for a lifetime subscription
  • Fantastic concept / falls short as a pricing guide

What a great concept, great idea but needs much work as a pricing guide IMHO as a 50 year record collector. In fairness I cataloged only 40 LP’s, picking out 1st pressings, limited editions, highly collectible hard to find items i.e. Muddy Waters original Chess Record pressing from 1958 listed here for $20 while Discog’s has it priced low end $29, middle $78 and high $127 (when I say hard to find, my edition isn’t even for sale on Discog’s). This example is a pretty consistent of what I saw overall with quite a few seriously underpriced, some were close, not a 1 did I think was overpriced . For me this app has value as a quick guide in a used record store but not much more. My hope is that this app in its infancy will get better as a price guide. If they can pull that off, this could be a great tool
  • Nice catalog app

Just tried this app out for ~50 album scans. I’m impressed that VinylSnap was able to capture some fairly obscure records. So far, so good.
  • Average at best

    App identifies albums incorrectly.
  • More wrong than right

It has trouble identifying records not on major labels or older ones. The prices seem to be very arbitrary and conflict with other sources. No way to edit all the way. Good for tracking if you think you’ve already have something in your collection. I hope to see improvements.
  • Great Idea, not so great delivery

I have a pretty extensive vinyl collection and was extremely excited to use this app…however, trying to log my first few albums - I tried 3 (fairly common, recognizable albums). Unfortunately, the scanning tech identifies any record as an unbelievably way off album. Very inaccurate and unreliable app currently. That said - I do have high hopes the developers will work this flaw out in time to create a very useful app with maximum functionality. Regardless of my 2 star review now, (honestly wanted to scale it at 1 star, but felt due to the concept of the app, a second star should be given) - I will be checking back in on this app in 6 months to see if any progress has been made.
  • It works!

This review will be brief. It does exactly what you want it to do, and what it said it would do. To quote Carly Simon “You always answer my questions, but they don't always answer my prayers”. Still looking for that $10,000 record!

Works well but requires a download of an Excel-like file to easily sort albums by year, title, etc.
