    Their billing practices are deceptive. And the voices on the stories are not very good. I DO NOT recommend this app.

    Do not download this app. I signed up for a trial then noticed I was charged after I cancelled. There were 2 other charges out of nowhere for different amounts. Report them to the CC companies and Apple

    I purchased the annual plan. The money was paid upfront. Then, there company began charging a $40 monthly subscription fee on top of the annual plan. When I contracted Sutra, I received a form email about “terms and conditions” but no response of me having agreed to any subscription. These guys are out to make a quick buck and are not interested in the sutra. Detachment of material things is the opposite of its corporate agenda of capitalism.

    I purchased a one month subscription for 6.99 later saw that unless I unsubscribe I get hit with a yearly fee of 39.99 I unsubscribed on time and I still got hit with a 24.99$ monthly fee . It is a disaster. The speed of the stories is not inducing calmness. The business practice I experience is not inspired by Buddhism in my opinion.

    As others have stated here, this is a total scam to get more money! They make it seem like it’s 30$ something dollars for a YEAR, which I thought ok I’ll do it, and a month later I get another payment of 39$ or something! I’ve had to email to cancel, you cannot cancel through app subscriptions which seems fishy to me. I’ve already double paid!!!!! Stay away. And oh the stories are not even relaxing or interesting.

    This is a rip off. Decided to try it….billed double (for an annual and a monthly plan). Cancelled immediately. No customer service. Sent an email asking for a refund. Actually got billed for an annual plan again a couple of days later. I am being forced to cancel my card in order to stop this. Be warned and run.

    Do not sign up for this, even if you cancel your subscription well ahead of time you will be charged. I am being charged every week when it was supposed to be once per month. I cancelled the day I was charged for the next month and the very next week another charge is coming up. There’s no customer service to even report this to.

    This app is a scam-don’t buy it! Signed up for 6.99-within one day charged additional $29.99! Then charged 24.99 the next month. No way to cancel through the app or through Subscriptions on iPhone. Had to initiate a dispute with card company. Very dishonest practices. Can’t comment on the stories but clearly doesn’t contribute to inner peace when you have to dispute charges to cancel.

    I removed the app the day the free trial ended and did not subscribe but was charged anyway. Ok, maybe it’s a time difference thing but now I’ve been charged again but not through Apple but by the developer directly. So I’ve paid for two months ($50) and got a week’s worth of the app. Some good stories but I do not feel it’s worth $25 bucks a month and certainly not if it is such a hassle to unsubscribe. Please STOP charging me!!!Sheesh!!
