This App features a direct-to-consumer subscription offering allowing in-market users to subscribe directly to ROOT SPORTS as well as the ability to log-in with their existing cable/satellite/streaming provider. Log in for free and subscribe to ROOT SPORTS Stream Monthly plan. This app offers monthly auto-renewable subscription. You may cancel your subscription in your phone settings at any time. Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period and identify the cost of the renewal. Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user's Account Settings after purchase.   • Better than a Fubo or Xfinity Subscription...Barely

    This App feels like a standard Mariner's Ownership tactic. Spend just enough to provide what appears to be a competitive product; only to find out too late it is a below-average product punching above it's weight. But they made a profit... 1) It always has a sidebar, so I lose 10-20% of my screen for "search", "videos", etc. 2) What am I supposed to look for in these choices? Can only watch live games, no starting from the beginning or pausing for a few minutes. If you are a fan of the cheesey filler on Root you can binge that... 3) It regularly has a hard time syncing with the broadcast, especially if you leave the game for a few minutes and come back to it. You normally need to close the app and go into it again. 4) I think they are using dial-up for their servers? Nothing else could explain the poor picture you see regularly when they are on the road.

  • Always Needs to Be Refreshed

    App is basically useless if you are not connected to WiFi. Does not matter how good your network strength is. Always needs to be refreshed every 30 seconds. The browser version is just as bad too.

    Needs a fix, when watching games the picture freezes frequently. Not complaining because I am enjoying the price and I was delighted to see a streaming app come out, just probably needs some fine tuning. Go M’s!!

    I feel like Roots actively tries to make us miserable to watch a Mariner’s game. Just complete trash. Cancel and F the mariners.

    I thought the fubo app was bad but this app is worse. Some people can’t watch the games live but with this app replays of games are only available for 24hrs, they are glitchy and are constantly buffering and in some cases the end of the game is cut off. I am not new to streaming and rarely have a problem with any of my other subscriptions. I thought this app would be a great way to watch games without the full blown fubo subscription boy was I wrong I regret dropping fubo to go with this app and I would not recommend this to anyone.

  • Great deal! Casting needs work

    $20 is a great deal for what you get and the stream on apps where you have a native app is really good(IOS, web, ect.) but casting to a tv without a native app needs some work. It will cut out and the controls are not good (you have to use app to control subtitles for example.) but overall I am happy. Casting does need some serious work though, it will cut out multiple times in a game.

    What year we living in!? This app is horrific when using it on Apple TV. Only two stars because it saves me from paying for fubotv.

  • Ruining Baseball

    Garbage. Root sports is ruining baseball season for the NW. Continuously glitchy, have to restart the player 30+ times a game. Sometimes you can’t even watch a game because of some error. Every time I try to watch a game there’s a new issue I have ti troubleshoot. No customer support. Terrible.

  • Streaming to a TV is very buggy

    Buffers all the time, closed captions staying on even though they’re turned off, among other issues. Not a bad app but needs some work.
